What principle can you learn from the fact that God doesn't reveal everything to us? How does this influence how we approach and study the Bible? Share your comments below.

Well, God can reveal to individual believers a deeper understanding of the Bible that others have missed. Never heard of the spiritual gift of insight?

Covenant theology is interlaced throughout these Chapter 10 verses. The rainbow is the Aleph/Alpha. The Take and Eat is the New and Everlasting Covenant (the Tav/Omega) that was instituted at the Last Supper with the wine being consecrated to become the Precious Blood of Our Lord. This veiled arrival of the messenger is critical. There is a theophany here...the roar of the Lion (Tribe of Judah), the 7 thunders (Holy Spirit) and the Voice from Heaven (Father). (like at Christ's baptism) It really is clear and not speculation. Angels cannot swear oaths because to swear an oath implies that the swearing party could break that oath. A God-Man can swear an oath because His human nature still has free will. The Good Angels had one choice: serve God or go with Lucifer and that was before the creation of the physical world. There is also good reason to line up all the 1s, all the 2s, ... all the 7s and then understand what happens in Chapter 10-11:15 in this light. It is very plausible that Ch. 12 is equivalent to Cinderella's midnight because we see Lucifer falling soon thereafter which is a flashback to his rebellion and St. Michael's sword at the dawn of spiritual creation. My point...we may be very close. We are all called to be the two witnesses of Ch 11 'in the spirit' of Moses (law) and Elijah (prophetic Truth). We are currently seeing the End Times strategy play out. A veiled Jesus Christ is quite possible and it would be wise to consider this as well as a veiling of all the chastisements which will not be literal and apparent. Yes, I am a Roman Catholic and yes I believe that a great apostasy is occurring in Rome as I type this comment. My advice? Get ready, stay ready. Focus on Jesus Christ for the duration.

Read this book it's for those of the understanding among his people, and were feeding his people, "THE GREAT WICKEDNESS OF CHRIST'S SAINTS, HIS ELECT, AND ALL CHRISTIANS: This Book is the Revelation I will give to Apostle John" - Jonathan Bijja

Forget speculation. The clue to the little scroll is found in the fact that it was eaten, tasted sweet yet made the belly bitter. It is the end time manna and the gold Jesus speaks of in Revelation.

I’m sorry but God always reveals something new in his word every time I read it I find something new that I didn’t see before To teach that God doesn’t show people something new is a very big disadvantage to the body of Christ. I believe we are in the last days don’t be so close minded. But make sure you know the word yourself so that no one deceives you

I agree that we learn new things each time we come to His Word. It is living and active. The Spirit uses the Word to convict us, guide us, and enlighten us. My point is that there are certain things which we do not need to know and He has chosen not to reveal to us. Rather than focusing on those things which He hasn't told us, we should focus on Scripture, which is His revelation.
