Rev 12 sign is not a common occurrence that Jupiter is in retrograde motion for 9 months, and that it fell on the jewish day of repentance back on 9-23-17. Its not common to have 4 blood moons on jewish feasts days in a row. Also a total eclipse in 2017 only to be followed by a second one 7 yrs later(2024). It seems to me the Lord is trying to let us know something. Brings to mind the city of Ninava, that was to repent. There was an eclips that time also. My spider senses are tingling.

As I see it, the 'child' (teknon="child") and the 'man child' (huios arsen="a son, a male") are two different entities: the 'Man child' is Christ, who rules all nations with a rod of iron and the 'child' represents believers who will be caught up to God and to His throne. (Whenever you see 'Son'/huios in Revelation, it always refers to Christ.) Both the 'child' and the 'Man child' are symbolized by the one 'baby' that the woman (Israel) gives birth to. Also in Revelation 12:10,11, we see present in heaven a group of martyrs who "loved not their lives". These martyrs are said to be the 'brethren' of another group of people, also present in heaven with them. Who are these two groups of people? Who is responsible for killing the martyrs? Thanks!

Let me say that I LOVE this channel and the Rev study thats been going on from Pastor Steve. It's been a blessing and a lot of fun. I'm going to respectfully disagree with Pastor Steves interpretation of this chapter for a couple of reasons below. I'll also preface by saying a "sign" is just that. It points to a destination down the road. That was never the view that the sign in 2017 was the rapture. That was never the position of Christians (other than a few ignorant), its an unintentional strawman he set up. Male Child: Why did we assume the male child is Jesus? When was Jesus ever raptured from the hand of Satan, didn't he allow himself to be sacrificed on the cross? So, an argument could be made that the male child and Jesus have polar opposite events happening to them. The male child escapes, while Jesus took on everything that Satan had to offer. Polar opposites. Furthermore, Jesus says in Rev 1:3 blessed are those who read this prophecy (future). So, that would knock the "Herrod trying to kill Jesus" event off the list. Even the letters to the churches we take as "future" but for Revelation 12 we think its a past story of Jesus? That's inconsistent. Why would John be seeing a vision of the past? He wouldn't, were interpreting the vision wrong. The male child is the church in my opinion. Rod of Iron: What about the rod of iron the male child has? Jesus said to the church of Thyatira: "I'll give him authority......he will rule with a rod of iron". Rev 2:26-27 Jesus isn't talking about himself in some weird 3rd person viewpoint. He's addressing a church. Are we not to rule with Christ since we are his body? 2 Timothy 2:12. According to Jesus we are. Israel: Jesus came out of Israel (the woman), no one disagrees with that. But, didn't the Church come out of Israel as well on Pentecost? The Upper Room is in Israel. Act 2:1-13 The male child cant be Jesus, it keeps getting sloppier the more you compare them, bad hermeneutics. Revelation 12 Narrative: If you believe in a pre-trib rapture then this vision undoubtedly fits like a glove and its in the future not the past just like the intro of the book of Revelation says it is. Not only that, Revelation 12 is a top-level synopsis of the last days' narrative: 1. It covers the beginning of the church 2. The rapture of the church 3. Satans mandate while the church is on earth (accusing the brethren) 4. Satan getting kicked out because "there's no place found for him in heaven any longer".. because the church just got raptured (male child) 5. Satans wrath on Israel 6. The remnant of Israel escaping to the wilderness for the 2nd half of the tribulation (1260 days). It fits the entire narrative. This is literally the Pre Millenial, pre-trib rapture, dispensationalist view on the end-times wrapped up one chapter. The Sign in the Heavens: Pastor Steve, You won't ever be able to show this astronomical sign happening year after year the way it's written in Revelation 12. You can only show Sept 23rd, 2017 because that's the only time it happened the way its described in Revelation 12. Please congregation, research yourself, don't just sit there and listen. This wasn't an accurate description of what Christians were saying regarding the sign. Leo has 9 dominate stars, not 12 The planets Merc, Ven, Mars, lined up under Leo which makes 12. Jupiter was in Virgo's "stomach" for 9 months (retrograde motion), and then it came out in between her legs. All of this has to happen at the same time with the sun clothing her and the moon under her feet. Use the astronomy program and find those attributes happening simultaneously ever. You won't. That's why Christians were paying attention to this in 2017. It's a first and only of its kind. It's not even debatable or speculative, it can simply be proven that this occurred one time. You might not like it, but it happened just how it was written in Revelation 12.

At some level, both of these interpretations are true for me. But, at the most fundamental level, this passage is talking about Jesus - a real person - and it goes on to talk about Satan - a real person - and it talks about St. Michael and his angels - all real persons - It’s talking about all these real persons, but the other person mentioned - the woman - is merely a symbol?! Sorry. I think she must be Mary as archetype of the Church ( People of God, Heavenly Jerusalem). It has been the traditional interpretation for Catholics and Eastern Catholic Christians

Although Mary did flee with baby Jesus to Egypt, notice, she fled into the wilderness AFTER her child was caught up unto God, and to His throne. The woman is the believing church who flees Judea into the mountains when the abomination of desolation happens in the temple. What does God have prepared for the people in Judea who believe and act on his warnings? they will need a place and protection for 3.5 years. Revelation 12 is symbolic for most parts. The woman is a symbolic representation of Jerusalem herself. Once you establish the woman as Jerusalem, Revelation 12 falls into place. The sign in the sky, Jerusalem is clothed in the sun. She will never see night (Revelation 21:23-27). In 1 Thess. 5:4-5 Paul tells us we are sons of light and day, not of night and darkness. As verse 27 of Rev 21 says, nothing unclean will enter her gates, so too the sign in the sky shows night/darkness outside of her. And what better way to depict this than to have darkness beneath her and underfoot. The crown of 12 stars could also be referring to the 12 angles that stand at each gate of New Jerusalem. As Paul wrote, the Jerusalem above is our mother, this fits perfect with Revelation 12:17 which says the dragon went to make war with the rest of her off spring. When the dragon couldn't destroy Jerusalem with a flood of army surrounding her, he went to make war with the saints i.e. the persecution of the great tribulation. Her going to the place prepared for her twice but both instances were different. The first time she fled by foot. The second time she fled on eagles wings. The first time would be when Jerusalem was in the war of the Jews and Romans and the temple destroyed. Even though most Christians left following the instructions of Jesus. It wasn't a mass exodus of the city. Wings on the other hand symbolises God's deliverance and mass exodus. That will happen again before the man of sin sits on the temple and claims to be God. As most will this time heed Christ's teaching.

The WOMAN fled into the WILDERNESS, the only place of safety during the GREAT TRIBULATION. THERE IS NO RAPTURE OF THE CHURCH. You will have to flee into the Wilderness. It is the place prepared of God (Revelation 12:6) to keep you for 3 1/2 years. (The time of the Great Tribulation is 3 1/2 years NOT 7) God will reveal where the wilderness is when the abomination of desolation takes place. (When the POPE takes his seat in the new 3rd temple in Israel.) We know the Great Tribulation is only 3 1/2 years because Jesus will have to complete his 7 years of ministry according to Daniel he was cut off at 3 1/2 years. His ministry was for 1 week of years. He will finish his remaining 3 1/2 years of ministry in the wilderness teaching us (the Church) bringing us into the bond of the covenant. Daniel 9:26-27 26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined. 27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate. It doesn't matter where you are in the world if you are keeping God's 10 Commandments and have knowledge of the correct interpretation of this prophecy (Revelation 12) you to can be there. You will not need a passport God will make a way to get you there. Revelation 12:14 14 And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent. The WOMAN was given 2 wings of a great eagle to get into the wilderness to be kept for a time (1 year) and times (2 years) and a half of time (1/2 year). WINGS OF A GREAT EAGLE where did we see this before? Exodus 19:4 (Children of Israel in Egypt) 4 Ye have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and how I bare you on eagles' wings, and brought you unto myself. The Children of Israel needed nothing but to believe God through Moses. God delivered them and he will do the same for you if you believe and keep his commandments. The WILDERNESS will be the only place of safety during the Great Tribulation NOWHERE else. God has given the beast power to overcome the saints and make war with them. (Revelation 13:7) The Dragon will make war with the remnant of the WOMAN'S seed. (Those which keep the commandments of God) Revelation 12:17 Keep the 10 commandments of God, pray that he will keep you during this time and he will deliver you. God bless!

Jesus wife? Seriously. You need to stop watching movies like DaVinci Code. It's the Parable of the Foolish Virgins. When Jesus returns, make sure the Holy Spirit is plentiful in your Christian walk. He was talking about His return at the end times. Think about it. If you are not operating in the HS you may not have the awareness you need to recognize Him and act accordingly. You could miss the rapture. As for thr Bride... It is the New Jerusalem. Revelation. Read it.
