With all due respect to the many talented ladies in Christian music, Susan Ashton is the single most beautiful female voice in Christian music… and probably music in general - Ever! Truly empowered and anointed by The Almighty. Many years ago I had the opportunity to see her in Nashville at the old Ryman Auditorium for "Sam's Place" hosted by Gary Chapman. That night was AMAZING. Susan Ashton, Big Tent Revival, Goeff Moore and the Distance, and Phil Keaggy.

Lonely River was our favorite because we so identified with it. Jesus died for me at exactly the same time as he did for everyone else on planet earth. The people who feel its their right to punish me for years on end need to get that straightened out because they too are sinners. There was a time when I felt discouraged by what I saw and heard from the "Christians" around me, until I realised and started to accept that people always change, but God NEVER changes. For me, the indescribable peace of committing and submitting our lives to God far exceeds any disappointment associated with what I see around me
