In this video I finish the interior space of the Camaro Z28, and add a little scratch-built detail as well.

The door handle was a great touch, also thanks for the toothpick tip I struggled figuring out how i would paint such small details without having brush streaks or overspray

Thanks man. I seem to do well with interiors. Too bad so much of it can’t be seen when it’s finished. Now to get a good exterior finish!

good tip, going the extra step for detail is always worth it

Try using airbrush to lightly tint the rear area with brown paint. It might blend the gold enough to get the effect you're looking for. if no airbrush try dry brushing some brown over the gold.

You came up with an arm rest like I did. I made mine a little thinner so the seats would fit. I think yours look better. You did a great job. Going to sub so I can follow this build

As popular as scale autos are I am really surprised no company has introduced modern tooling standards in 1:25 scale. 1:35 Armor and even 1:48 aircraft which are much smaller have far superior detail than cars. I know there are some 1:24 scale options by Tamiya etc but, a lot of those are curbside models and I'd prefer to keep the same scale even if the difference between 1:24 and 1:25th isn't too great. Wingnut Wings basically took over the WWI aircraft market because of the decades old 1:32 molds that were sort of the standard until they came into the picture. I wish a dedicated company would do the same for 1:25 autos. I think people would pay more for a top quality well engineered kits that doesn't come with thick parts, loads of flash, warped hoods etc and doesn't require a ton of scratch building to make it look great. Would be cool to have open door trunk options to show it off. That said you did a good job. I've done similar I usually use a bit of epoxy putty for the arm cushions etc.

I couldn’t agree more. I also build 1:48 aircraft. Round 2 and AMT keep reviving old molds, but nothing new.

don't shoot the messenger but aren't the electric window lift switches on the center console just behind the shifter? beautiful job on the interior. if you have a window tint place and stop by and ask they would probably give enough film to do every car you got or raid their trash can
@TJsModelBench-jb4xt5 ай бұрын
@@phantom629 Possibly so; but mine, and this model don’t have electric windows. 😉 I used Tamiya Smoke to “tint” the rear window.

It is a model not the real thing the model company's give us a close of all the models they made not the real thing it is up to the individual to make it the way they want it and that means if you want to make it just out of the box you can do it and it is not wrong or right it is the way you want it Just saying you did a nice build your way 🐎Mr. ED Says just have fun modeling
@edwardnash74112 ай бұрын
Don't get me wrong it looks very nice but for me it takes away from being fun and building it all most like a car that someone had because there were so many was to order a car that is what a model is close but not like the real car
