Great video Justin. It's guys like you that show the community not to let things scare you. I've always felt intimidated to attempt such mods. Or even simple mold repairs. Your approach on how to like Franksmodelworks let's guys see it's not so intimidating after all. I appreciate you buddy.

Thanks Joe. That's one of the big points of the channel. I'm figuring things out as I go a lot of the time, so I try to share as much as I can learn. And at the same time it's kind of an "If I can do it you can too! It doesn't have to be (quite 😂) that terrifying. Hearing it's helpful is a really good feeling. Have a great weekend!

Nice job Justin 👍 that putty blended right in! Smooth like butter 🧈!!
@JHartModelworks4 ай бұрын
Thanks. I really like the polyester putty because it sands so smooth, and because unlike the lacquer based putty, this stuff doesn't shrink when you paint it. So you don't end up with that odd line along the edge of the putty.

@@JHartModelworksI’m always learning something new watching you build! I’ll have to try some polyester putty next time 👍

Awesome video on this subject. I really appreciate all that you show when you do these. Yes, I will sit and watch the entire video as it helps me learn more on how you do things. I'm always up for one of your teaching videos Justin. Thanks!! This build is already looking amazing.

Thanks Juan. I saw a similar build on the web and it had a similar oversized hood scoop. I really liked the look. Have a great weekend.

Thanks James! I like it because it doesn't shrink when you paint it unlike the lacquer based putties. A buddy that runs a body shop told me 2 part glazing putty is pretty much the same thing without the Tamiya price tag.

Great video, I have this model and plan to also build a restomod. Most of my builds are scratch built and kit bashed of some magnitude, some a lot, some not so much and have added some 3D printed parts that I purchased. Really like your channel and am now a subscriber.

I didn't have to watch for 40 minutes because I watch on 2x speed. Great prep. On a resto mod or race car I'd put the battery in the trunk for better weight distribution.🤓👍

well since most of the footage is sped up to 1.5 or 2x you are technically watching at quadruple speed lol. Hey cutting down 14 hours of raw footage is hard! Thanks for watching and have a great weekend!

@@modelcars2978 some of these videos you kinda have to. I do that with the training videos at work. The guy talks so crazy slow that 1.5 speed makes him sound like a normal person. I went on quite a while with this one.
