Hi Lewis Woods, I’m inclined to agree with you! I’m building the Revell “Cutty Sark” and it has plastic sails in the box! I was told I can buy sail cloth ones for £98 I but steep? But they say they are machine stitched? So making up my mind!

Nice build. It appears to be the Zsveda/Revell Black Swan but with a different figurehead. The detail looks impressive for a plastic kit. The only thing that put me off buying it, is the ridiculously over-sized and entirely unrealistic capstan which appears to be part of the main mast assembly. Just...why? It doesn't look like it would be easy conversion job to fix it either.

Revell should have included soft plastic ratlines like they did for other large models. THe plastic ones look too heavy and stiff.

both companies work together and share there model kits :) zvezda models are pretty difficult to get for a low price here in germany but yes the original is from zvezda
