Great job as always. You turned a toy into a work art. Thanks for the tip on the flashing LED lights.

Another big one that turned out nice. If you wanted to light the cockpit, you can use Turtle Wax bug and tar remover spray, as it takes the paint off in a matter of seconds. The few times I have had to remove paint I have used that instead of the purple bath. You can be back to painting in a matter of minutes compared to days of soaking in a tub of purple cleaner. Accidentally discovered that about 30 years ago. It will not hurt the plastic or clear plastic either. When done just wash it with soap and water.

Thanks, and thanks for the tip! I'll have to keep that in mind for future use.

No problem. That happened before on one of your videos. I didn't know what they were talking about at first.

Looks great! This kits not bad for a Revell, a good size. Maybe 1/100? Thanks for that LED trick. I’m not an electronics wizard and I wish I knew about trying the flashing to non-flashing, in-series trick. Never thought that would have worked but you proved it does. Nice job my friend!

Thanks! The figures that come with it look to be around 1/72 but they are probably not to scale with the shuttle.

Very nice job, as always. That flashing LED circuit is a series arrangement, though, not parallel :-)

Thanks, yeah I didn't think that sounded right.

Great job. You should try and find one of the old MPC imperial shuttle. A lot bigger. cockpit has Vader and 2 pilots.

Thanks, I'm looking for one for a reasonable price.

Is the main color white, or an off-white like the Falcon? I have an old, unbuild AMT kit of the shuttle with poor paint instructions.
@EagleSciFiModeler Жыл бұрын
I used an off-white, pure white always comes out very bright and fake-looking to me.

@@EagleSciFiModeler thanks for your response. Would this be something like SMS light gull grey, or Valejo white grey?
@EagleSciFiModeler Жыл бұрын
I like using white grey, some gull greys have a darker color...and sometimes a yellowish tint.

cool video, imo the cockpit is a bit small compared to the rest of the ship, but i find thats the case with most revel models, the proportions arent always the best
@EagleSciFiModeler4 жыл бұрын
Thanks, yeah it has its flaws but with some work it can be decent.

What scale is it, please?
@EagleSciFiModeler2 жыл бұрын
Scalemates list it at 1/106 scale. The pilots included in the kit look closer to 1/72 but they look out of scale.
@DavidRLentz2 жыл бұрын
@@EagleSciFiModeler , maybe the pilots were clones of Lord Vader.
