Today's Tale is about a forgotten legend in Season 13 - Revenant. He's often seen as a niche hero and reliant on team synergy due to his kit, but that doesn't mean that solo queue is suddenly impossible! Of course, when he's in my hands, games can be quite unpredictable. We went to Storm Point and Olympus for the journey to become a Revenant Main...(for one week).

I like revenant because he feels good to outplay people with. I agree that he needs some attention but there’s nothing much to do that won’t make him too powerful but a suggestion I’ve had is to let him send himself back to the totem with the unused utility bind

As a rev main I approve this message. He has a silence that can stop all skills and if you have a good team with gun skill you can give yourself 2x the teammates and damage and reposition if the ultimate is properly placed. Also if not for kills you can run in and get a lot of info from an ult life.

Pro tip from rev main for long time: take abuse of his passive, you can move faster healing crouching, make footsteps non existent and avoid a lot of hits moving left and right with a crouch every once in second or two

Revenant is one of those legends that when you play well you just feel unstoppable. I do think people are sleeping on Rev 100% in the right hands he is an absolute beast. Shutting down legends abilities can win you fights. Maybe a good little buff to his ult would be giving you full health when you use it no matter what your health state was before but when the effect wears off you go back to what health you had. I dunno tho. Either way love seeing some Revy gameplay.

I recently got my first heirloom shards and immediately bought Revenants Scythe, he is amazing to play if you randoms have mics, you literally can't lose when you have team co-ordination with the ult. Q is great, and passive is amazing to use when people think they are safe up top waiting for someone to take a zipline while I sneak up the wall and shoot them in the back.

Ppl really undervalue how useful his passive and tactical skills are. The climbing is rly rly good for flanking and repositioning mostly due to how unpredictable it is. U can flank a squad on high ground through an entry they would never expect. And u have no idea how afraid ppl are of his tactical. Surprisingly effective at blocking doors especially in small buildings bcs ppl dnt want to get hit by it and also they can't shoot inside cos they can't see anything through that shit

I am a revenant main since s9 (on and off since s4) I know little things that most new revs don’t know edit: I have a few suggestions to make, and things I could probably teach you. I’ll drop some of them here but reach out if you want more. 1. Crouch bunny hop as revenant, the passive increases the speed you can bunnyhop faster than horizon(even while healing). 2. Use the climb for flanks/escapes more 3. Use the Qs either while firing, reloading, or healing rather than stopping to use them, also they make decent visual impedences. 4. When you use the totem, hide it a bit better, your team can see it through walls, so tuck it in a safe place for when you get sent back. 5 the totem isn’t just for pushing, it can also be used for banner retrieval

I was maining Fuse for a bit and decided to use Rev here and there and have been dominating with him. Used correctly he is an absolute pain in the ass to play against. He's no different than Horizon or Crypto, in poor hands they're useless but in the right ones are amazing teammates.

@@justforrow he just doesn't have as much use as other legends. His ult is terrible, his passive is pretty decent but niche. His tactical is pretty good, but it doesn't make other legends weaker than him. He removes abilities, which just puts them in an equal field. It's not super good since. Plus, you can look at his pickrate in master lobbies. It's literally 0%, which means that he just isn't as good.

@@sphrcl. His tactical doesn't "put them in an equal field," tho? Revenant still has access to his ult and passive, which all/certain legends that he silences don't have access to. He still has 1-2 more abilities then them that he can still easily easily use, while they lose their ult and tactical and some lose their passive. Plus, some tacticals like Wraith's shadow form are actually super useful for escaping a bad situation and without it most Wraith's will lose a gunfight to an experienced Revenant. And while I do agree that his ult is bad, it's definetly not the worst in the game. That honor still goes to the abomination that is Mirage's ult. Also, the reason his pickrate is so low is because (as this video just so perfectly states in its title) is that most ppl don't know how to properly use him. Experienced Revenant's who do know how to use him can easily dominate lobbies whether it be in master, diamond, or pred. Your probably just one of the many ppl in the masses who don't know how to properly use him, and that's why you perceive him to be "bad." It's not because the character itself is necessarily bad, it's just because *you* are.

@@HappyBeezerStudios the thing about revenant is that he leaves really little room for error, he doesn't have a reliable escape mechanism, he can't barricade himself on a room and can't provide unbreakable or super reliable cover, and since now the totem can be spotted so easily and gives you less time to act its not as reliable as it was before, he isn't a bad legend, his abilities are actually quite good and the passive is busted but because you can't make mistakes while playing him he is at a disadvantage compared to other legends such as wraith or gilbraltar that can cover their own mistakes and their team mistakes more easily Atleas its just my take on why he is so underrated - A random revenant main
