USA this game was a bit suffering as the Entente had lost every war they had fought, several players had to be replaced last minute, including Mexico who flipped. It might appear on the surface it should be a balanced game but...it really, really was not. UK didn't build a single factory. That is not an exaggeration. Russia had been fully occupied multiple times and had fallen behind hard on tech, meaning his brigades weren't worth much. Spain didn't research any naval tech as we saw, which cost us dearly in the naval war. This patch nerfed external immigration and buffed internal. So USA barely got any immigrants and Japan had most of Beijing Japanese because the assimilation was insane and he won several wars before westernizing meaning it was all stated. Tons of factories there. USA also had only lasseiz Faire which means military goods could not be subsidized and I had the 1 war industry of the alliance. I also supported China several times against Japan...only for China to switch sides in the Great War. Same with Mexico, and the GC player quit midgame. It was an extremely painful game, but when we realized this was the last session our doomerism flipped in the last hour and that's when you see we put this alliance on the ropes. But really, the outcome was decided before hand by overarching bad decisions. For the first game I hosted, could have been worse. What was annoying was only half the players signed up for the next game and it just didn't have enough people to survive.

The USA was committed wholly to the war in Europe since that's where the war would be won while Japan had total naval supremacy and no enemies in Asia since China joined him. Weak home defense + uninhibited OP Japan meant he could send as many troops as he wanted to Mexico and there was nothing the USA could do.
