I respect your comment far too much then what I was expecting, because the reason why is when I was younger (between 5 - 11 years old.), I always preferred heroes over villains and relied on heroes better than villains in the heroes and villains community. I was recently watching the first part of Kung Fu Panda and when I saw the moment where Master Shifu apologized to Tai Lung, I could feel how precious and important Shifu was to him. There was so much pain and regret in his gaze, but his blind rage and desire to be recognized was stronger...

Tai Lung was denied his dream, something that was "given" to him by his father since he was a child. He was gone too far when Shifu apologize, he can't stop now. Same goes for Shen, he probably knew that even conquering the whole world wouldn't give him the satisfaction. But after all the things he had done, he needs to keep moving forward, I like to think that's why he just... accepted his death by his own creation. For Kai, he was betrayed by the one he called brother, the one whom he fought side by side for years. Even till the end, he still saw him as a brother, as the only one truly worthy to stop him.

Tai Lung was an artist chasing his dream and life’s work only to have it shattered in front of him twice. He sought more than to be the Dragon Warrior, he sought his father’s approval but his rage drove him and others around him into the ground. Lord Shen was a true monarch seeking to take an entire country for himself using technology to achieve his goal of conquest. Ultimately he was driven by fear that one day a warrior of black and white, that a panda would end his reign of destruction. General Kai was a warrior who thrived and depended on success in the field of battle taking everything he possibly could including the spirits and power of others. The greed in his soul and envy of his best friend and ultimate opposite would lead to his downfall.

the best thing about Kung Fu Panda series. Villians was the strongest PO ever faced. PO always a underdog. He make his way to top and defeat them was the best thing about it

For me the greatest thing about Kung fu Panda is that every villain in this franchise is very iconic from the beginning up till the 3rd movie From Po's Journey to Kung fu , To his past and birth place, and his enlightment 🥰
