I remember being dragged into this ride by my friends. I wasn't as scared as I thought I would be during the queue, but when we finally got to the ride, I almost had a panic attack. I closed my eyes during the entire ride and I can't believe I thought those track drops were actually just sharp turns! It looks WAY less scarier now, I was such a scaredy cat!

THIS IS AWESOME!!!! To get a chance to see how an indoor coaster looks with the lights on is AAAAAAAAAAAAMAZING!!! I remember when I rode this ride I kept trying to figure out what was going on, but now I can the holograms and all of the decorations! This is sooo COOOOOL!! I LOOOOOOOOOVE THIS RIDE! I had a blast! Well, seeing how big the drops are in scale, I feel... stupid. I know it is all about mind trickery and psychological thrills by taking away most of your sense of sight, which is a large reference for your brain to follow when in motion, since seeing the speed of which things pass you give an indication, but I legit felt it extremely, especially when they rocket shoot you in the transition from the mummies to pure darkness, that gets me so damn hard that it almost feels like a ghost punch in the gut, and I KNOW the speed isn't that fast. I'm a wimp for coasters, but damn... Idk how I could handle JP's drop without ANY problem whatsoever but when I went on Mummy I felt like I was being pressed so hard that I almost couldn't breath, but I've been on worse. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the ride, but just... huh. I guess it didn't help that when I went it was my first (but certainly not last) time ever being on it, and waiting on that long ass line PLUS the anticipation from the slow portion of the ride waiting for the speed to kick in psychologically tormented me.

i went on this even though i despise coasters (my sister said shed pay me money if i hated it). at first i was like this is really slow i can handle this. and then it sped up and i was like oh HELL NAW! i got really dizzy really fast and i thought i was going to blackout. then it paused and i was like thank god its over...NOPE WE STARTED GOING BACKWARDS. when i got off i was so disoriented i could barely walk normally i was so dizzy. it took me a solid 10 minutes to recover. dont go on this ride if you’re sensitive to movement. DONT.

It's the same technology they use in the chairs in Shrek: 4D Adventure when the rats escape and supposedly go running down into the audience. I've only rode the one in Orlando and I have to say, it is my favourite ride at Universal. It's just such a great ride. This one on Hollywood is laid out very differently, which I like. It's probably a whole different experience. I would like to ride this one too.

The Mummy is the scariest ride at Universal. Much scarier being on it than watching on video. But ultimately I found it fun and exhilarating. The ride is also super short. I do wish it was a bit longer and more to see while on it.

I went on this exact ride and let me just tell you, it’s WAY faster than it looks in this video. I had to force my eyes open and control my breathing to prevent myself from fainting. It looks way less intimidating when the lights are on but when your in pitch blackness and all you can feel is yourself flying through the twisty track, It’s pretty fucking terrifying. Me and my cousin were squeezing each other’s hands the whole ride and she didn’t stop screaming until it came to a complete stop. I was just kinda frozen in fear the whole time and sometimes yelling at my cousin to stop screaming in my ear lol. I was disoriented for the rest of the night because of that ride. Definitely a horrific yet hilariously fun experience. I wouldn’t recommend going on it if your sensitive to roller coasters though but it’s probably one of the worse rides at Universal. Oh and the creepy guy yelling “Your souls are mine” made it 10 times worse 😆

I know in Orlando the mummy replaced the "Kongfrantation" ride, which still has pieces of the ride hanging from the ceiling (which clearly you can't see in the dark.) I'm not sure if this is the case for Hollywood as well but I couldn't help but stare at the ceiling throughout the whole video

Alright, so I didn't realize this was not the Orlando one because I wasn't paying attention (honestly didn't even know there was a not-Orlando one). I watched this because when I went to Universal in Orlando this was my favorite ride--like it was amazing and I was obsessed and rode it nonstop all day. So I watched this and the whole time I was like "dang, this is not as awesome as I remember". I literally was feeling so disappointed and confused by how lame this looks, and now from the comments I see it is because this is different for the one I went on... obviously we can all have our different opinions. But I was completely unbiased because I honestly thought this was the coaster I loved and watched this video with a frown until I realized that this was not my coaster after all.

Honestly a brilliant little coaster for what it is. Yeah, light's on, it doesn't look all that impressive, but the sudden speed, effects, and banking of it make it feel more intense than it looks! Easily my favorite ride at Universal Hollywood.

I don't understand why everyone thinks Orlando is better. The pacing of elements and effects and the lack of tackiness is so under-appreciated in this ride. Its a great ride that kicks Orlando's behind. It's upbeat, fast paced, tells a story, and most importantly, immerses you more in the environment than Orlando's. Went on this coaster today they first drop was so intense it scared me so much but after that the ride was smooth sailing

It's pitch-black, yes, except from the lights coming from the theming. The track's painted black too, so you are unlikely to see it while travelling at a relatively high speed around the track. If you memorise the track layout, though, it would probably be less exciting than it should be, since the element of surprise caused by the darkness is lost.

This is my fave ride at universal studios 💜💜💜 ive tried this in singapore and hollywood, i think they’re similar. I didnt see/feel any difference. Same construction& interior so its funny for me how other comments says the other one is better when they’re actually just the same

I could handle going on this ride 3 times but not space mountain for some reason. It just feels that whenever I'm on space mountain it feels like if I don't hang tight to the handle like I'm going to fall off especially when it's hyper space mountain
