Wow! Out of all of these I've seen, this one has to be the most unchanged and similar. I guess because it's on a college campus and they generally like tradition so the buildings don't change as much over long periods of time. Very interesting!

Tucson simultaneously has and hasn't changed much since 83. It's growth has basically been wider rather than replacing things. Only recently have they started really putting up new things, mostly apartment buildings.

I love that you have a strong focus on 80's films, and bring attention to those I have not even heard of. I will be sure to try and find this one. I watched Cant't Buy Me Love the other week after watching your video, great movie and so sad about Amanda Peterson.

I am so happy to see that all these beautiful buildings still exist especially The Nerd's house. If there was anywhere in the world I could live it would be there. I have always loved this movie. I know I saw it too early in my life but this got me through allot of the tough times in school and then life. Nerds Fight On.

As a kid during the 80's and 90's this was one of my top favorite movies. I watched this movie so much till this day I still think the black nerd is gay in real life. I've seen him in other movies and he doesn't even look right playing a normal man.

The movie was inspired by a magazine article of the same name. It describes how the once high school nerds are now leading the 80's high tech boom and becoming wealthy and are now getting the hot chicks who used to have nothing to do with them. The magazine was the long defunct New West. The only resemblance to the article is the title.

6:20 Did they fix up an old house for the movie and have since then layered it with bricks?
@Reshoots
@Reshoots Жыл бұрын
I'd guess it already looked like it did after they fixed it up, and the producers covered it in fake wooden panels to make it look like it needed work. Film a montage of them sweeping and painting, remove the fake panels when they're not filming, boom, they "fixed" it. : D

So cool! Looks pretty much the same! A former collegaue of mine (Charlie Mercer) ended up as an Extra in the computer room scene. His wife was handling Extras for the movie at the time. The Director asked her where all the students were for the computer room scene and she informed the Director it was Spring Break. So the Director suggested she enlist her husband and some if his co-workers who were young engineers at Hughes Missile Systems. So that is how Charlie got to be in the movie!
