There is something important you forgot to mention about Sniperwolf. KZbin didn’t just punish her, oh no. They punished Jacksfilms as well! In a tweet or a community post, they said that the behavior on both sides was not acceptable. And the only reason why Sniperwolf apologized is, as many people theorize, that she is reading it off a script made by KZbin themselves and is not genuinely apologizing.

So, another ukulele apology?
@krvgames92583 ай бұрын
@@Phoebe5448At this point, it wouldn’t surprise me if she did a ukulele apology. But what infuriates me is that Jacksfilms was just defending himself and calling out KZbin for allowing Sniperwolf to dox him. What happened to the old KZbin catchphrase of “Broadcast Yourself”, because I don’t think modern KZbin has ever heard of that before.
@Crow_Rising3 ай бұрын
@@krvgames9258 "Broadcast Yourself" died the moment KZbin got bought out by Google. They assured us at the time that the new ownership would be nothing but good news, but as time marched on all that ever happened was the slow reduction of individuals being able to express themselves and reach others and a gradually increased focus on a more corporate, algorithmic structure. Used to be they denied the existence of an algorithm entirely, now it's just out there in the open and treated as normal. I'll always miss the old original channel home pages where you could fully customize your page to your own personal preferences with your own background, layout, font, colors, etc. They removed personalization features more and more over time until now the only thing you can really change is your profile banner. What was once an expression of yourself is now forced into dull corporate conformity. Even video ratings were basically destroyed. Originally it was a star system in which you rated how many stars out of 5 you would rank a video and then the total rating was the average. Then they swapped to the likes to dislikes ratio for a long while, until semi-recently they finally made the dislike button totally worthless and therefore making life much easier for scammers since people can't get a proper idea of how disliked the video is anymore.

You mean stories involving you that backfired? -------------- TL;DR... Friend of mine was accused of r*piing a girl. But he had been with a large group of friends at all the times he was accused. A watertight alibi.. It bothers me that unstable people can accuse anyone they want. You have the ability to ruin a guy's life with a single phone call if you want... ..and there are awful people out there that don't take well to being dumped and can escapate arguments into legal battles. I believe, no matter how attractive, it's way better to stay away from those unstable type people.. because you never know what's gonna happen on their wrong side! -------------- Slightly Longer Version... There are many, but I do have my own stories of being stalked or those people trying to enact revenge.. Times where things go totally wrong and people can end up being genuinely hurt. I've had a few instances of short term dating that went really sour.. I went out with someone on a couple of dates - that's what you're supposed to do - go on dates to determine whether you want to make it long term and that you get on with the person.. After a couple weeks and a few dates, nobody should get hurt, you end it amicably knowing it isn't going to work out.. but I've had people totally freak out and start sending abusive messages. It can mess up your life. When I was in my early 20s (early 2000s) I was at my friends house, when there was a knock at the door - my friend opened it and the police were standing there.. they said that a girl he saw for only a few days before deciding it wasn't going to work and ended it.. she had accused him of se*ually assaulting her.. earlier that day.. He made sure that they were sure about the dates.. then I stepped forward and told the cops that it was impossible because we had been hanging out together for the past 48 hours... So it was impossible. She dropped it after that. But it scares the hell out of me that unstable women can make accusations like that and you need an alibi and proof to get those kind of charges dropped. I'm not saying that it doesn't happen.. but women have the power to ruin a guy's life with a single phone call if they want. And there are some horribly unstable girls out there that hate being taken advantage of or are entitled or don't take well to being dumped.

As a fan of literature who avidly uses the website Goodreads, I am TERRIBLY disgusted that Cait Corrain would reviewbomb other books and her own on Goodreads just to make hers look better than the others. I am very happy that the publisher who once worked for her has turned their backs on her and that the internet has rightfully called her out for her crimes.

I agree. competition is expected in any business, you just don't review bomb your competition if you actually want to have any fans of your product (it's a much better idea to expect the competition from the beginning and compete fairly in addition to staying within the law, perhaps if your lucky you could gain some good will with some other authors and do some collaborations with them and from there continue on that path of gaining good will and popularity so you eventually could create some type of legacy off that)

The cop dad in the one story has probably not only had that very rule drilled into him as an officer, but has likely also SEEN multiple times the utter tragedies that can result when that rule is not followed. I wouldn't be surprised if he had also told his son that rule. So to hear that his son disregarded that rule and then tried to use him to get his pass back, it is entirely understandable why the cop dad was pissed. The son probably got a lecture the entire way home about what can happen when that rule isn't followed, possibly with some very graphic stories as examples.

Not sure if there was an honest case of accidentally doxing someone without any actual malice or so but again, the risks and harm are still there which should be held to accountability if ever. The thing about the Sniperwolf situation that has lots of people angry at KZbin is they only demonitized 1 of her 3 accounts instead of an outright ban for breaching ToS which they have done to others over less serious things.

Twice armed robbery and domestic violence. If Jack had the balls, he could make it three times. He lives in California, and doxxing is illegal here.
@TheOnlyBlackInMeWasWillieBrown3 ай бұрын
@@jasonrandom372twice, you forgot about armed robbery as well.
@jasonrandom3723 ай бұрын
@@TheOnlyBlackInMeWasWillieBrown Wow! I guess if it happens once the same crime happens again. Speaking of domestic violence laws in comparison of three different states. Sniperwolf lives in Arizona, so in Arizona if domestic violence occurs everyone involved must go to jail. In Florida if domestic violence occurs the household member at fault must go to jail. In California if domestic violence occurs the police cannot make any arrests unless any victims or household members involved want to press charges against each other.

I tried revenge once. I got my karma and now I dont mess with revenge, never again
@adamb894 ай бұрын
Karma doesn't truly exist in that the universe won't conspire against you. I've done some shit, and I just covered my tracks and never got caught. What can happen however is if you let yourself get programmed into that mindset, that can be picked up on. I'm sure you've heard of an accusation being a confession--like someone repeatedly accusing others of stealing, is almost certainly a thief. Becuse their mind is programmed to think like a thief. So as a result people are going to be more suspicious of them, making it increasingly likely that they'll get caught. Attract attention to yourself + keep doing what you're doing = you're getting caught.

I'm not saying I advocate or forgive Cait's malicious actions one millimeter, what she did to sabotage other and promote herself was disgusting, and then not even having the knockers to own up to it afterwards, but as a fellow writer I know how it feels to be incredibly proud of the shit you've worked so hard on and wish with all your heart to share with potential readers. Me personally, I am currently writing the sixth volume in my anime- and videogames inspired fantasy series, and nobody is buying it, so I am mostly just writing for myself with a hefty bill to follow, as the publisher I have chosen, who take almost anything as long as you show them the cash, want $1800 per volume. If you're curious, my series is called "Fyrtårn" (litt. "Lighthouse" in Danish), and is about a group of youngsters of various races (angels, vampires, valkyries, humans etc) growing their powers to stop several cosmic threats from ending the world. It's only in Danish for now though so unless you speak the language you'll have to wait for a translation whenever I have the time 10 years from now.
