One on side, we have a Grammy-nominated electronic producer who has used an original Minimoog for nearly two decades. On the other, a rising star of the beat community who sculpts drums and basslines from VST and hardware clones. Together with one vintage Model D and one brand new Model D Reissue, they share their music-making processes and create something new. Learn more on Reverb News: bit.ly/3ERbxfQ

They sound nearly identical. If you did a blind test, you most likely couldn’t determine which was which. When Behringer does a copy of analog equipment, they’re usually spot on. You’d be better starting out with a Poly D than investing 5k in what is basically a collector’s item. Also, the Poly D is a more capable synth. I’m not saying the Minimoog reissue is bad, I’m just saying you can get that sound for MUCH cheaper than 5k.
@crime_wavcorp
@crime_wavcorp Жыл бұрын
@@Docdaman4 i gotta say, when i play on the prophet 10, part of what i admire is the build quality of it. there's something to be said for that. is that worth 4 or 5k? ehhh i don't know bout that. i guess if i was planning on passing it down to my boy, possibly. i know it would hold value at the least.
@Docdaman4
@Docdaman4 Жыл бұрын
@@crime_wavcorp Oh yeah, the reissue definitely looks/feels/plays better than a Poly D. I mean, for the price it fucking better! But with the extra oscillator, built in Juno-style chorus, built in distortion, and the ability to play paraphonically, the Poly D is a more capable and (I’m gonna say it) better sounding synth
