God works in mysterious ways & this proves that he will take what might be meant for evil and use it for good… Had Dr Gina Stewart sermon not been removed from Facebook, I would not have heard this message. It was the outcry of its elimination that ultimately led to it’s ELEVATION. I’m reminded that God is still good, he’s still able, & that he desires to elevate the oppressed. The sermon was both timely & relevant to the very occasion of her being the 1st female to preach at the event. This sermon was BRILLIANT. In the words of Gen Z… she ate! Lol And then had the audacity to transition the message into a freestyle praise song & dance. I love it! Thank you! 🙏🏽❤️

So interesting to see Xtians upset at a critique of pride when the entire story of a martyred God-man has to do with putting one's pride to death. Many seem to think, however, that it's only 'pride' if its motivated by a theology of liberation. Anyways to those crying 'twisted scripture,' remember that your Christ gave you power to 'bind and loose.' The first ecumenical council recorded in Acts evidenced what that refers to; and it was occasioned because of questions about inclusivity. The church as an institution, however, has continued to use its 'keys' to align with Empire, to the point of using scripture to villainize Yeshua's Jewish counterparts rather than identifying that it was the State found him a threat.

I listened to this entire sermon. This whole sermon was a twist on scripture in order to promote the Democratic Party and attack the Republican Party by drawing incompatible comparisons, and that is sad. The Baptist Conventions used to pride itself on having the best expository preaching, now we are pawns for a Democratic party that's been playing us for 60 years for votes, we have this lady speaking in her version of "tongues" with no interpreter as the scripture instructs, Then she speaks against the homophobic and im trying to understand her position on homosexuality. Because if following the bible's teaching on same sex makes a person homophobic according to the world's standard then what are her beliefs on the subject? Baptist yall need to wake up and stop playing these silly games. The goal is still to win souls not push them away because they disagree with out political or social beliefs. The bible says in the last days sons and daughters will prophecy, so im not against women speaking in church; BUT maybe instead of attacking your opposing political party throughout the entire sermon just preach the bible so that they can experience the same love and salvation of Jesus that you claimed to have.

So, Jesus didn't oppose his day political structure at any point 8f his ministry? Furthermore, did she lie about anything she said?

@@apopenestolic7261Jesus challenged heretics who used God to promote their false theocracy, Jesus didn't promote one political party and use the scriptures to erroneously justify it like she is doing here, but what he did was unite everyone despite political affiliations and told them to follow him, that is what she should have been doing instead of tearing down people based on political ideologies, just point them to Christ. Did she lie about anything she said? This whole sermon is a based on lies if you disagree that is your right but facts and history speak for itself. Stick to expository preaching and she'll be fine but being a pundit for the democratic party then using scripture to justify these falsehoods is out of order, and if it were a man up there doing it my opinion would stand.

@@apopenestolic7261 No Jesus opposed those who used scripture out of context to fit their own twisted way of living and beliefs and to condemn those who didn't believe what they wanted them to believe, kind of what she is doing here actually. And yes she lied about a whole lot, I touched on some of it in my comments.
