Thanks Dre. Have been following your work for a while now and am seriously considering buying this strategy. 2 queries: 1. How does the strategy respond during unexpected high volatility (e.g. Earnings, Breaking news, etc.) and the bid/ask shifts faster than trailing moves. Default NT, cancels all order and disables strategy/algo and resets any variables and P&L 2. Does the strategy have basic checks/validations to prevent contradicting drop-down selections? Appreciate the amazing work you have been doing and the educational content you publish

Hello! 1. The Predator comes with many built in Order handling safeties to account for all sorts of erratic price movements. We have auto shut down periods around 8:30am eastern (Most common news time that causes crazy price on Renkos). Also a built in cool down timer and extra checks to ensure our Stop is getting placed away to help prevent possible errors. - At the end of the day, things like chart lag or if the broker cannot process orders fast enough. These can cause issues on any strategy. But we try and account for as much as possible to prevent issues. Like with anything. I recommend always being around to ensure everything is going as it should. Specially with Rithmic or Tradovate connections. 2. The properties for the Predator will only show what can be used. (Its much cleaner than the Free Order Entry buttons if this what you mean). The next coming version will have much cleaner properties as well. - You can add as many indicator filters as you want and these can in a way contradict themselves or cause your trades to become filtered to the point its impossible to set a trade. But they are clearly labeled and as long as you're not enabling every single indicator (Which is not recommended to do anyways), then you'll likely never get to that point. I might one day. Keep in mind that the main purpose of this tool is to be a semi automated entry helper. You'll be able to enter and manage Renko/NinZaRenko style trades faster and easier than any human could. While it can run fully auto if the indicators/filters meet your criteria. Most people, myself included, will toggle the buttons whenever we want to enter a trade. This way, we have more control over what trades get taken.

How about adding an exit or entry where you can choose the third party (or NT) indicator. For entry for example I choose the indicator and when it touches it activates the entry with the reversal on. Basically having the ability to choose the indicator. Another one would be staying long or short stay inside of that chosen indicator (your choosing of any indicator). My 3rd party indicators I would choose are a simple line. (Used for entry to start the trade).

This is interesting, I will write this down! Just so I make sure I understand. Using EMA as an example. Lets say price is trading above your 9ema. You don't want to take every reversal above it. Rather you want to wait until it comes back down the the ema and then wait for a reversal to enter? I'll look into this. However, I can only really work with NT indicators or anything available open source and free (Ecosystem). Will need to make sure the plots in those indicators are exposed so I can access.

@@TradeSaber EMA example stay long above it and reverse below it... then other. Reversal is most dangerous,, handle the "line in the sand". Also, yes what you are saying as an idea for the entries on on side of the chosen indicator. (Not only fixed choices).

I had put this reversal with the EMA. it came out great, on some day it get 100% trades positive. it shocked me when ran on real time. still tweaking some more and test more.@@TradeSaber

Great Strategy system I love it. I wonder if it will work on minute charts? Also is it possible to add an entry based on ATR Trailing stop?

It technically will enter on minute charts, but will give many false signals. I do not recommend it. It was designed to make entries and management easier on renko style charts

Would adding a bars range of slippage to the back tests give a more realistic live trade result?

Change the Fill Resolution to High. It'll make it a bit more accurate. But I wouldn't rely on historical back tests for results either way. Best to run on playback or live on a sim.

Hey, I want to purchase the strategy just one question. If I just want to have the bot trade from renko long to short the bars; I just leave the first option enabled and disable all the rest correct? My bad if that’s a stupid question lol

Would it be possible to use this with the MACD BB and have reversal going off the dot color change? I use a UniRenko chart with a Heiken Ashi overlay to smooth out price and the MACD BB.

If your order qty is more than 1 contract can you set different targets and stops for each contract?

Yes, you can set up to 3 different orders that will enter at the same time. All 3 orders can have different stops, targets, trail stops. All you need to do is split your order up into however many orders you need.

I trade on MNQ. Can I enter with 10 contracts and then exit out of 5 of them at say 30 ticks and let the remaining 5 continue with a trail stop? Also, I am using APEX Trade Copier with 10 accounts. Will I be able to use it with your strat?. Thanks

Yes you can do that. Instead of submitting 1 order with 10 contracts. Simply set 2 orders like this: Order 1: Position size of 5 and profit target of 30 Ticks Order 2: Position size of 5 (Trail your stop and set whatever profit target on this one) You can use Trade Copiers. Just keep in mind that the Apex and Replikanto have had many problems in general. Use a copier that only submits market orders to exit other accounts to avoid hanging orders. (The free one from Ninjas user app share eco system is a good option)

I prefer minute candles and prefer buying the low of a prior candle or selling the high of a prior candle. The concepts in the system you developed here suggest to me a massive chop situation a majority of times. You cannot accurately backtest ninjarenko candles either.

If that is something that works for you, then that is awesome! Renko trading is not for everyone. If you have a plan that you like, definitely stick with that! 🙂 I agree with you about the back testing these charts. I wouldn't put much stock into it. It will always display perfect entries/exits. Which never translates to the real world. Should be used more as a guide to whether or not you should continue your testing with playback or even live.

I will probably make actual trading videos in the future. I mainly trade using supply and demand zones which is not something available in this tool. Once I see a zone/area I want to enter. I toggle this tool in the direction I want. I mainly use this to enter and manage my trades quickly. Not so much for automating the entire process.

Actually, I could probably make a whole video dedicated to the difference between real and historical trades when fully automating a strategy. It'll show the difference in results between both. That could make for a decent video. Once Apex goes on sale again, I will dedicate a new account to this cause. Thanks for the idea! 😄

@@ashleya.9844 Yup exactly. You can toggle the On/Off or the Long/Short buttons generated in the chart trader panel. No need to disable the strategy.
