Did this to a Trinity X-Factor 13.5 motor, and it SEEMS to have worked. Original timing was set at 40 degrees, so if what you say in the video is accurate, I should be able to swing 20 degrees beyond the 60 mark and lock it in a the new "reverse" 40. I haven't had a chance to test it, but I spun it up on the bench and it seems to act fine with the sensor wire connected. I'll give it some testing and see if it works out. If it does, it will surprise me that this is seemingly the only video on KZbin that demonstrates such a thing. This is important RC knowledge if this actually works out in the long run.

RC drifting is still going through cavemen age. I come from the drone designing and building, where everything is bluetooth or USB connectable with your phone letting you do all sorts of things from there, having fully adjustable gyro’s built in the flight controllers (that cost less than a drift gyro lol) letting you set autopilot and GPS functions etc, also ESC’s are programmable via your phone, so reversing a single motor felt very natural to be easy but since technology is so ancient here, I thought I could figure out how to do this having no special degrees on the subject xD (I had it running like this for months of hard drifting and everything was okay, reversed it back and forth a couple of times and all worked fine, funny story is that even the manufacturer didn’t know or didn’t wanna tell me how to do this, maybe to get the higher end ESC? Who knows)

I did all the step by step instructions you taught. I inverted the blue cables with the orange and I reversed the sensor cable wires, but the car now only goes backwards, both when I accelerate or reverse it only goes backwards! When I removed the sensor cable it was normal again forward and reverse! Would the sensor be so missed in drifting?
@MiniRacersRC Жыл бұрын
Sorry for the late answer, from what you say here, you didn't reverse the motor timing which is really important too. You can drift without the sensor of course but depending on the surface you are drifting on, and how other people run, it is going to be harder to compete with them. At least on carpet, that was my experience...

@@MiniRacersRC friend, I did it! I did the whole step by step! I reversed the Esc cables, reversed the sensor cables and adjusted the timing! But the engine is getting hotter, is this normal?

Thank you bro! Yeah that's what I tried to do first, even cheaper ESCs have the CC/CCW function and I was surprised to see that there wasn't such a setting for the Xerun 120A :/

Hm have no experience with that. But motors and ESCs are a very ancient tech and what I show in the video should work if applied correctly on a vintage ESC/motor like the one I have 😅

I assume you have to go into your ESC or radio and switch the directions for your throttle correct? I tried this and it didn't work on one of my Tekin systems. It wouldn't even run because the ESC realized something was wrong with the polarity on the motor.
@MiniRacersRC Жыл бұрын
If your system is a sensor one, what I am showing in the video, should apply on yours. The direction on the controller must be set so forward and reverse work correctly. Normally we don't change the direction on the controller, but only on the esc...

PROBLEM IS, MY MOTOR IS FIXED TIMING. CAN I CHANGE IT ON ESC?
@MiniRacersRC Жыл бұрын
On some ESCs you can, on others you can't and this is why I made this video, but you have to be able to reverse the timing too...

Hello,ive done this to my esc and motor from extreme racing. But the sensored wired when i switch it up and plug it in my motor jerk like crazy.but without the sensored wired my motor run in reverse ia good.i did try to reverse my motor with my radiolink.but the turbo mode seem to off also. How should i solve this.
@MiniRacersRC Жыл бұрын
Hello, first of all, did you follow ALL the steps as shown in the video? If you skip one, let's say you didn't change the motor timing like I show at 1:56, then the motor is going to jerk. As you mentioned, this CAN'T be done from the radio. It should be done from the ESC or the motor (as shown in the video) if the ESC doesn't have this option. And also correct, if you remove the sensor wire then the motor will function as a normal sensorless motor, but won't have all these program functions like turbo, boost etc.!

0° and 60° swap overs, 30° remains the same. For a 2pole motor anyway. 1. Main wire swap 2. Sensor wire swap 3. Sensor angle adjust
@MiniRacersRC2 жыл бұрын
Your 1. 2. 3. Steps are correct. As for the "30° remain the same" AT LEAST on this particular combo, it doesn't apply. I haven't tested this on other motors so I can't say, though I imagine it would be the same as mine :-)
