My theory about how Reverse Flash was in the Earth X crossover was that Eobard reset the timeline by killing Barry's mother after Flashpoint, but hid Barry's body somewhere before recreating the events of season one. However, this time he knew that Eddie would kill himself because Barry told him at some point during Flashpoint, so this time Eobard just left and ran into the Negative Speedforce, which shielded him from being erased. But for whatever reason when he went back to get Barry he found himself on Earth X instead of Earth One, so he killed Earth X Blitzkrieg as a child, which changed the timeline. And since we know that timeline changes on one Earth don't effect another Earth's timeline as explained by Earth Two Harrison Wells. He then established a connection with the Nazi's on Earth X before travelling back in time again to tell himself to go get Barry and bring him to the present. So, this remnant of a remnant reverts back to his original face and then leaves Earth X and returns to Earth One to bring Barry to the present timeline of season three, before running off only to be killed by the Black Flash on Legends of Tomorrow. While the Wellsobard version is preparing to attack Earth One with the Nazis because he's not a paradox on Earth X because it's a separate timeline hence why the Black Flash never comes looking for him.

12:20 My theory was either after Barry / Barry&Nora traveled to the time vault or after Thawne brought Barry back to his house in Season 3. Thawne thought his plan might fail, so he left a time remnant in the NSF that would act as a contingency plan. The time remnant would be immune to timeline changes while in the NSF so he could survive. Like I believe one of the Wells said, "it protected him like a boom shelter."

In season 1 we find out that the original Barry’s mom wasn’t killed by thawn, and he became the flash in 2020 something. In season 9, they say Nora dying was a fixed point, and “the future flash” who was there was always just season 9 Barry. It goes against what they established in season 1.

So I’ve actually made a theory about this, and it’s that there was an original timeline, and that’s where Thawne came from originally, and it’s also the timeline that Thawne and the original Barry travel back from on the night Barry’s mother dies. This erases the original timeline, and is in my opinion the reason Eobard needed some kind of help to return to his time. The reason why things are different in a New World Part 1 however, is because of Crisis. Oliver might not have known Thawne’s whole story, and as the Specter he probably still couldn’t as Thawne’s timeline was erased, meaning that when he created Earth Prime, the timeline changed so that now instead of running through a portal, Thawne and Barry are streets away, and S9 Barry is now the one fighting Thawne (I hope this theory can clear some stuff up, if not sorry 🤷🏻‍♂️)

I think the reason for Barry going to the future to save the crowd is just crystal clear. It's all just an endless cycle from which both the Speedsters can't escape. The Barry which goes to the future to save the crowd Thawne was meant to save might be a future version of the Flash, even later than the Season 9 Flash. This Flash had known the events which were supposed to happen in order for Thawne to become the Reverse Flash and also knew that Thawne becoming the Reverse Flash is a fixed point which can't be altered (just like Barry's mom's death). This is because Reverse Flash created the Flash, and later Flash created the Reverse Flash (lmao this is so bizarre 💀). Therefore if either one of them doesn't become The Flash/Reverse Flash, then the other one will also get erased from existence. So Barry has to helplessly save the crowd in order to create the Reverse Flash because he has to do so to ensure that the cycle is continuing.

We don't know why he went to the future, he could have chased a villain from that era, maybe he just wanted to visit the future? Regardless this is all based on 2009s rebirth and is not (1959-1986, 1986-2009 Barry). The barry in s1, s2 is actually a future version of present flash meaning he already been through every event including flashpoint since pre-2009 barry was erased. But also gotta remember the flash didn't exist until 2020 so the cw flash isn't even based on pre-2009 flash but a version of rebirth flash.

Not necessarily. The flash would always be the flash regardless of thawnes existence. And if he chose not to save that crowd he would still be the flash but the version that didn't save the crowd wouldn't exist, thawne wouldn't hate him, and his mother wouldn't die but he would still become the flash except this time, there is no reverse flash

I think the flashpoint/legends of tomorrow was back in season 8 of the flash because the negative forces pulled him from his death in legends season 7 so they could use his body to resurrect the other Thawne with his speed so he can be all the negative force’s avatar with the negative tachyons from Iris

I was just randomly thinking about this earlier with how original reverse flash would even exist but there was no original Barry, and the only one there was the one from season 9 but now it somewhat makes sense because like you said and the show said Nora’s death is a fixed point. So the original timeline may always exist or run parallel until the point original reverse flash goes back to that night which is where everything converges, and of course he becomes the one to take over the remenants body at some point in the future being season 9 to finally be erased.

My theory about Thawne from Crisis on Earth-X is that he is a time remnant too. At the end of Legends season 2, Thawne brings several versions of himself to the fight. I think that Thawne had time remnants spread throughout the timeline and multiverse.

@@MartinGbizies-jb2nw I'd thought about that and the only solution I've got is that dimension hopping must play some factor in whether or not the time wraiths can find him. Otherwise Thawne showing up at all in the Arrowverse after Season 2 of Legends doesn't really make sense. Also, he comes back several times after Crisis. Ànd it seems like every version of him knows everything every other version knows. Hell, the one in Legends remembers working with Snow and Cisco even though he didn't live that life.

With The Flash, it's impossible to logically understand a lot of the timeline stuff. The show wanted to have their cake and eat it too, so they would make up any excuse through incoherent timeline gibberish to bring the Reverse Flash back in as many forms as possible. The only version that should even be able to continue is Matt's younger, original timeline RF.

My concern regarding The Flash lies in the prolonged utilization of his mother's death as a means to make his character more intriguing throughout all nine seasons. The explanation given for Nora's demise as a fixed point in time is merely a decision made by the writers, influenced by the more recent comic book adaptations. What initially drew me to the Flash was the fact that he was one of the few superheroes who had the privilege of having both parents present in his life, as someone who had none, it was nice to see an example. Now hes just like Batman.

I'm pretty sure there will be a point where they decide to axe the rebirth flash and barry finds a way to correct all instances that thawn did before he killed nora to create the rebirth universe. there's 2 ways to reset this, 1 stop flash from saving the crowd (so thawne can save them) and just leave which means thawne has no reason to go to the past, remember that in this version (rebirth) thawne learns through time travel he's supposed to be the nemesis to the flash and of course he learns he kills nora (he didn't know the last bit in the cw show tho...) Or thawne actually listens to the flash and returns home or to the very point and saves the crowd and in a way makes an enemy of his past self. Many ways to do this but time travel will always be required unless the writers just say fuck it and keep his parents alive.

It is some what a shame that the "I wonder what face I will wear next time we meet" line was wasted. It would have been cool to see Thawne wearing a completely different face instead of reusing the Wells face over and over again.(Don't get me wrong Tom Cavanagh did a great job) I also think that we should have gotten more of Matt Letscher's Reverse Flash

Nice vid. But my POV regarding Nora's death is a little different. I think that the minor changes are just effects of the post-crisis timeline. So basically, I suppose that there is no original timeline. Reverse Flash's and Barry's relationship is just like a paradox. Nora's death has always been a fixed point. He was always meant to create the flash who would then result in him existing as his villain. Like I said its a paradox.

3:54 Does it really add up that the Thawne is S2 Ep11 is from the original timeline? In Season 1 we learn that the particle accelerator explosion wasn't originally supposed to happen until 2020. That was the original timeline. So OG Thawne learning he the Flash existed before then doesn't add up. I know Harry Wells explains it is the same one but still, it is sort of a plothole. I think the OG timeline is almost identical to the one we see. The main difference being that the main timeline happens earlier. I think Nora Allen also died on that date in the OG timeline, but that Thawne just didn't know that part, since we know from the later seasons that in the future Reverse Flash killing Barry's mother wasn't public information. Barry's daughter Nora didn't even know until she travelled back to the past and Barry told her

The only way I could think of Tom being around in seasons 4 and 5 is that it is the version who was resurrected for the season 7 finale. That version then goes on to become the avatar for the Negative Speed Force, leading into season 8. I can't really think of any other way to tie all of these versions of Thawne together.

Erased from existence, great Scott, the writers never really knew how to close thawnes loop…… their is infinite variations stemming from earth one or post crisis earth prime….. crisis on earth X was a fun tidbit but, our earth one thawne used that as a weapon. Earth one thawne should have been made into a mini-series as you tracked him through all the events, but he is handicapped by the speed force and around around we go…… you mess with time, time usually messes back you’ll see

Season Zero Barry DIED the moment he ran Child Barry out the house. He was erased. Eobard created a Reverse Flashpoint, one where Barry never would get his powers/ However he was now stuck in the 21st century with his powers blinking. So he created the Flash in season 1 and was killed in the finale by Eddie, his great great great grandson (or something.) Barry runs back in time to save himself but stops when Season ZERO Barry tells him not to. Season 2 Barry bumps into Season ZERO Eobard who was trying to work out who the Flash was by time traveling. (or by the speedforce just spitting him out over Season 1 events). He's just an echo, a time renmant. Something that would be repurposed to explain many other BS characters and plot holes. When Zoom kills Henry, Barry undoes the Reverse Flashpoint by saving his mother and runs Eobard to present day, creating his own Flashpoint. And in unmasking himself, Eobard now knows Barry Allen is the Flash. After resetting events, we return to the Reverse Flashpoint but Eobard is on the run from Time Wraith's, whom eventually kill him in Legends of Tomorrow season 2 with the Black Flash. He is later put to work to protect a fixed point by time resetting every 24 hours, re-educating him to be a "Good Guy." Somehow, Eobard also returns in the present day a year later to crash the West-Allen wedding when the adopted brother and sister get married. Eobard, wearing Well's face again, teams up with Nazi's. Barry defeats him but lets him run off because Barry is a idiot. "Barry Allen doesn't kill. Joe raised you well." Tell that to Atom Smasher, Sand Demon and the other meta's that he murdered in past seasons. He runs off. Next time we see Eobard is in the future in IHP as an inmate thats been captured and is going to be executed. He manipulated Nora West-Allen into saving her dad in the past creating a weaker Cicada that Team Iris ft the Flash can defeat. However Nora is erased from existence and Eobard runs off. He is then killed off screen by the events of the Crisis on Infinite Earth's. Eobard's energy merges with Nash Well's, leading to some jump scare footage of him saying "he....is.....COMING!" They then preform a techno exorcism and he is expelled, but later returns somehow to team up with Barry to kill Godspeed. Barry then "level's up" and one hit throws Eobard, taunting that he "got faster Thawe, didnt you?" And Eobard, again, runs away. Eobard then kills Joe off screen and murders Baby Baby. When Barry runs to the future, he finds that Eobard is now married to Iris. Team Flash is actually competent. And to top it all off, Barry is now the villain. Eobard created a Reverse Flashpoint. Barry restores it back to the original timeline, but Eobard is now blipping. To save him, Barry cuts Eobards connection to the Negative forces. A few weeks later, the Negative Still Force kills Eobard and put his power in Iris. Barry teams up with Fast Track and a new variant of Eobard who is a good guy to fight the Negative Forces. When Barry throws a lightning bolt, Iris is teleported infront of the Forces and it kills her (even though in season 4 Barry was able to outrun his own lightning to get struck, he watches Iris die). Her death triggers Eobard to transform back into the evil Well's Thawne. He then overdoses on The Negative Forces and Barry defeats him by sitting down an refusing to fight. Later Barry starts blipping through time and meets Eobard from Season ZERO on his way to murder Child Barry. The two have a drink and Barry realises that its tonight. Eobard tell's us that Barry was "always smart", clearly he never watched the show. Barry warns Eobard that if he tries to kill him, it wont end well. Barry later saves his child self, re-enacting the events of the year 2000, including warning his past self not to interfere. A weeks later, Eddie returns as a speedster and revives all the speedster villains including Thawne. He is easily defeated by Alegra, a woman whose power is UV rays, not superspeed at all. Barry doesnt even fight him. disclaimer, because i know someone will have issue with me calling future barry Season Zero Barry - the paper from 2025 states "after a battle with the Reverse Flash, the Scarlet Speedster (Flash) and the Reverse Flash vanished in a blinding flash of light. The battle took place..... with Green Arrow, (whose dead by this point in the show), Supergirl (whose show is over) Hawkman, Hawkgirl (Legends who left after one season, never mentioned again) The Atom (retired and rarely showed up)" Our Barry was pulled through by Cobalt Blue, when he was alone. So when the Barry we follow shows up, he is watching the old timeline play out first. Then when he shows up in the finale, he's recreating the same events.

Around 1 min 30 into the video you say "let's say its something that Thawne does like in the comics". One of the episodes thawne says he set a building on fire and went to save the people but flash turned up and stole his spotlight" Around 3.33 you ask why he can't run back to his timeline. When he killed Nora, Barry wasn't the flash. Thawne had to make particularl accelerator explode so Barry would become flash

That new Avatar was going to be Wells Thawne, who took over the Body of Flashpoint Thawne. 12:12 You realize that Cobalt Blue Eddie is from a Future not as Distant as Thawne's Future, right? Eobard Thawne is from the 22nd/23rd Century, and Eddie Thawne is from the year 2023. I would arque that season 4 Reverse flash flash was a time remnant of season 1 reverse flash here's why when season 2 Reverse flash travels back in time barry tells him when they meet that he was dead to witch Reverse Flash replies "Good to know" much like that harrison wells statement you made about him keeping that idea in the back of his mind I would also argue that Thawne kept the fact that he died also in his head so at some point he made this copy and maybe he hid it on another earth since wells on Earth 1 is practically noticeable witch could fit it to where he come in at season 4 in that time on Earth x he kills and Replaces Earth X barry and forms an army alongside that universe's version of oliver & Kara so it doesn't feel like it just came out of nowhere thawne in between season 2 and 4 he would have plenty of time to make allies and form a plan He knew his death in season 1 was a fixed point but that he would always come back via the time remnant so in general it is season 1 Reverse flash but a time remnant created prior to his Original death I think barry telling his younger self created just the smallest ripple for thawne to come back because OG season 1 wells felt so sure of his plan he was already 10 steps ahead why would he need ed to make one its plausible thats all im saying thawne learned from the past created a copy, put it on another earth so it wouldn't mess up anything he still died and the copy lived on

Wellsobard Thawne was able to come back in season 4 because of Barry’s destiny line to make multiple trips back into the events of Season One tipping Thawne off that his plan fails because he’s not stupid, Thawne instantly puts two & two together the second a Future version of his Barry Allen who knows who Thawne is shows up at any point during his wheelchair facade faze of his grand plan to go back to the future then Thawne will realise two things. One his version of Barry Allen will still have a future which was never apart of his plan & two because Barry still has a future Thawne now knows that his plan fails. He pretended that he believed Barry’s lies about his plans actually worked & reluctantly helped Barry out with his Speed Equation problems & helping him learn how to deal with & avoiding getting the attention of Time Wrath’s. But before he could even begin with that diversion from his Grand Plan another version of his Barry that’s further along into his future with his version of his future Daughter showing up, again blowing the whole gaff that Thawne plan fails. & if you’re wondering what was his original plan? It’s simply to create a conduit for the Positive speed Force to access the Time Stream while also ensuring that the destiny line for the creation of the Negative Speed Force remains intact since that’s the source for his power since the Negative Force can’t exist without the Positive Speed Force to leach off of & sustain itself. But if it was just about getting home to his own time then Thawne wouldn’t care if Barry saved his mother or not, no he needed Barry to save his mother to create a paradox that’ll erase his New Flash & his new timeline out of existence for his original Earth 0 timeline to be restored as the default Timeline yet again because it ended with Flash vanishing in Crisis & to ensure that the Time Wraiths don’t come after him it’s also to serve the purpose of erasing his historical footprints in the timeline since creating entire parallel universe timelines all Willy nilly won’t go unnoticed by the Positive Speed Force & other external timeline defenders like the Legends of Tomorrow, Time Masters, etc.. who will be on the lookout for evil Metahumans like him..

In the nick of 12:20 time , The essence of my theory made me realize that when Eddie shot himself ,roughly next to the portal was open that exploited the dimensional barrier of multiverse (earth-x) just like earth-2 etcetera. To get some hand dirty, reverse flash (our Harrison well) ran through, with same face ,memory on neo-nazi world. Notice: In season 1 ,when did Eddie killed , eobard thawne bring off his original face to Normal. I ponder that's why earth-x reverse flash has uniform texture.
