Yes, the reverse gear has been rock solid on both our bikes. We recently converted my wife's bike to a trike and kept the reverse gear. Now she uses it all the time. Thanks for watching.

Excellent description of the operation of the reverse gear. I just installed one on my 2012 Road King. My setup has the motor kill feature if the reverse gear is engaged and you are not in neutral. Marvin at EurowingUSA provided excellent technical support during the entire install via phone and email. It does help if you have experience with electrical and mechanical modifications to your bike.

Sometimes I could use one living up here in NH with uneven ground. It's a real shame that HD doesnt offer something like this standard on the big touring bikes like Honda does. Besides the annoying beeping, I wonder if the company offers a nice chrome plate on the outside of this device.

They put the beeper on bikes with BCMs so you don't forget you're in reverse and put the bike in gear. On non-BCM bikes they can stop the motor if you go out of neutral. Of course you can disconnect the beeper if you want.

Hi, I have installed the eurowings reverse on my 2000 Indian Chief Trike And it works great. However after backing up and putting the lever in the off position so that I can go forward it’s still stays in reverse even when I put it in first gear. I have to go through the gears with my clutch in all the way to fifth and back to first couple of times before I can get it to go forward. Other than that which is kind of embarrassing when I’m trying to go forward after going in reverse and people are watching me, I haven’t any other trouble with it.😜

The beeper is to protect your bike, not someone behind you. It's to remind you that you are in reverse. If you forget and shift into 1st gear, you may damage your transmission. EurowingUSA has updated the MMD for bikes with a BMS. They wire into the bike and shut off the motor if you shift out of neutral or attempt to engage the reverse gear while the bike is in gear. Yes, we are very satisfied with the reverse gear. They include a beeper if the gear is going on a Rushmore bike. On earlier bikes they were able to tap into the wiring so if you took the bike out of neutral, it would stop the motor. The BCM on Rushmore bikes doesn't let them do that reliably.

I think the reverse gear is a Eurowing USA product. - they designed and manufacture it. You'll need to contact them for the price. I paid for the unit including the installation.

What a silly comment. In case you haven't noticed, there IS a car, parked right beside the bike, I mean, this guy does have a car. And if you haven't noticed too, this bike is his wife's, not his. He's a senior, so I suppose his wife is a senior as well. I'm a senior myself, and I must assure you: a bike like this one is quite heavy to move backwards.
