Could you not just use the wire that was pre-routed to the rear by Ford? Oops...just saw someone else commented that. Is there a new video with that method?

Yes you can do that too. It’s a little bit of a hassle to get to, but it’s there behind the quarter panel.

Not sure I'm clear. Did you run wires along body to the wiring under the hood? Or to the rear quarter panel location?

We ran along the body under the hood. But you do have the option of utilizing the OEM Aux switch wire that is run to the rear quarter panel. We did what Baja Designs instructions guided us to do, but you can definitely use that quarter panel switch if you like.

I love look of the wider (spaced out) bracket for the S2 series lights but am not interested in the license relocation holder! Too bad this option isn’t available. It seems like it would be a simple bracket to fabricate and offer customers even more nifty choices!

I believe that’s probably possible although not sure the current will support the draw. Having independent control seems like the easier and better approach.

Uhm…i would have liked to see this kit in action! It wouldn’t have been difficult to place the vehicle on the road (preferably trail) at night and demo both lighting options…

Sorry to disappoint, customer needed their rig back. Shooting video at night isn’t actually very easy and when we’ve tried to do it before, it hasn’t really done justice to the night performance. But, we’ll make note and try to improve.

At e you should mention this video is not meant to be used without the instructions from Baja. I found this video very frustrating. It seemed pretty good until purchased the kit and tried to follow along. No mention of the licensed plate light. No layout of wiring included in the kit. Two of Baja’s shitty Alan bolts stripped because there is nothing in this video about putting the mounting bolt in before attaching the light mount. Had to take it back apart and these cheep ass bolts seem to be a one time use. The wiring in my kit was not the same. For some reason I’m missing the wire you take from the battery to the connector you ran from the lights. Have to get on with customer support. I’m just really frustrated. Don’t me to be negative on your vid.

Just so you guys know, you made this wiring install WAY HARDER than what it had to be! All you had to do was wire into the aux wire that is already located at the right rear corner of the Bronco. There was no need to take the wiring under the Bronco and up to the fire wall! Just remove the inside trim panel on the right rear quarter panel! The yellow & orange wire thats ran to the passenger is already wired up and ready to go!

Hey man, thanks for that pointer, are you sure that’s wired up to the #6 auxiliary switch? Or is that just the reverse lights for the vehicle? We wanted the switch to control the reverse lights, didn’t want to be always on with the stock reverse lights. We followed the instruction manual from Baja designs. If you’re right that’s awesome, and very helpful!

I just re-checked Baja designs own instructions, and confirmed we wired this the way they specified. So, if you’re right then Baja designs themselves also wasn’t aware that Ford ran one of the OEM switch wires to the rear as well, so I don’t feel too bad, lol. I’ll look into this and get in touch with them as well if that’s the case! Thanks for the comment man 👍

Looks like you’re right they have aux switch wire in that back quarter panel that can be connected to the switches easily. I will notify Baja designs, and see if there was any particular reason they didn’t have that in their instructions. It might have been to avoid going through that swing door grommet, but the license plate lights have to go through there anyway, so I dunno. Thanks again for this heads up!

@@alexlittlewood9654 So I think Baja's original directions may have been for people who needed to add in a switch themselves. But yes, the Bronco comes with pre-wired aux wiring to be utilized with the aux switches. I'm definitely going to be getting a set of the aux reverse lights though, they're gonna be super helpful while backing up with my boat! Occasionally I may have to use them for tailgaters as well!!! 😳😬🤣🤣

​@@GB.Bronco Yeah, their instructions have both, the "switched" harness and the upfitter harness going to the front of the vehicle. We may need to reshoot a video correcting this, cause you're right, that's a lot easier. The tricky part is getting the harness through the door grommet.
