Reverse lights don’t work? Here’s how to fix them!

Part number: TORFAN 500 536 (Mini R50 1.6 Cooper)
While checking over the Mini for it’s upcoming MOT - and filming that process for last week’s video you can check out in the cards above - I noticed that the reverse lights weren’t working. I’ve even got a clip of me reversing but no lights came on. If your reverse lights aren’t working, here’s what I did to fix ours.

Seems like the clear plastic holders around my bulbs had melted, preventing the holder from coming out the lense. Thsnk you for showing a clear image if what it should look like ❤

Going to try this today on my Countryman 2011 R60. Bulbs and cables seem alright... Had to look up where the switch was on the gearbox, but this is the nearest & clear similar video I've seen. 🤞

What type is the reversing bulb?

I’ve also got reverse sensors on my car that I’ve never worked since we picked it up. Do you think that would start these working as well?

We replaced the switch on our campervan as you described, the reversing light is still not working. It works manually outside of the gear box but when placed back in it doesnt work, any thoughts greatly appreciated.thanks

In my googling it seems the name is Topran 500 536 not Torfan, maybe the manufacturer have changed their name?
