Here you go, lessons I learned the hard way (my ASO value would not operate correctly): 1) Make SURE you understand the IN & OUT ports and hook up the lines correctly to ASO valve. 2) Use ONLY hard lines to interconnect (dont use clear lines from home depot, they are too soft and value wont shutoff correctly). 3) Keep all hard tube lengths to ASO value as short as possible. 4) On all connections make sure the tubes push all the way down 5) On all post carbon filters, post filters, etc...dont plug directly into these filters, first always use a push in connector then push your tube into those connectors. I did all above and fixed my ASO value RO system operation.

Thank you for this. I wasting water because the flow shutoff wasn’t working. The only way to stop that crazy water running sound was to turn off the cold water completely. I ordered the part to replace it. Spoke to Watts Premier and they said that technically the entire system should be replaced every 7 years if you’re starting to have failures. I’ve only replaced the tank 1 time in 12 years when the bladder would no longer maintain pressure. So I’ll probably consider changing the entire system the next time they have a sale and I have to replace the filters to offset the cost of a brand new system.

Thanks for the video lesson. I replaced my shut off valve. The hardest part was getting underneath the sink and manueviring around my garburator!

Hello there, and thanks for the video. I have the same RO system as you do. I just started hearing this continues whooshing sound that is coming from the system. Not sure if it is the same issue as the one you are talking about. I don't see any water leaking or draining into the sink, tried turning the valve off and on at the pressure tank, waited for ten minute it is still the same. The water pressure that is coming out of the faucet is very strong. Any suggestions please? Also what type of technicians handle taking care of these type of issues. I checked with couple of plumbers and they were not familiar with it. Thanks again

After you use water, it should be making more water to fill up the pressure tank, you will hear the bypass water going down the drain, then once the tank is FULL ( which may take much longer than 5 minutes if you empty the tank), but then as you explain later it should shut off once the pressure on the low side is enough to shut off the other side of the ASV which is the high pressure input to the system.

Excellent video. Thank you for posting. I recently installed this same system and am having the gurgling problem. I'm assuming it's not the shut-off valve being that it's new (but it could be faulty I suppose). Anyway, my tank pressure was at 3.5 psi so I filled it to 7.0 and am now refilling the tank with water. The gurgling is happening continuing as it refills - did that happen with yours and go away after the tank was full? Appreciate your help.

You need to clear the end of your drain tube

Hi, I received a new tank, and when I test the air pressure in the valve, there's little water coming out a bit. is this normal? I was trying to make sure the pressure is 5-7 psi...
@abbyboyone10 ай бұрын
I believe that is not normal.

I just put a new system in and now my water is just trickling . It starts strong then dribbles.

you keep referring to the word "System" without explaining.

The glacially slow pace of this presentation is painful to listen to. There are also some key steps and observations missing.
