In this video I do a couple Reverse Seared Ribeye Steaks on the Slow 'N Sear Kettle. Now I had a brain fart and left them on the SnS when I snapped a couple thumbnail pics!! Bozo move for sure!! ha ha But honestly these still were pretty tasty but they ended up at a mediumish--heavy on the ish!!ha ha Now this really is a simple cook but DO NOT take any pictures until they are on the board!! This one is for you Claude, better late than never!!ha ha Thanks for watching and this video will have to be redone!!
Now if you are looking for your very own SnS Kettle head over to SnS Grills: snsgrills.com?afmc=1w and get yourself one! This is honestly my go to kettle now!!

Salt draws out moisture over time. Drawing out moisture = less juice in your steak. Never understood why people do this.

@DeadBrokeBBQ 3 жыл бұрын
Hahaha not smoking these steaks bro. Just running them up slowly. If I had a bigger pit that I could use sticks and make a coal base I would do it but charcoal is easy and honestly I like the flavor of a charcoal cooked steak better. Thanks for watching and I like your idea!
@SNeal5966
@SNeal5966 2 жыл бұрын
I have to ask why nearly every single bbq channel promotes the SNS stuff.....to me it's all just over priced over hyped uneccessary and no differernt than what you can do wihtout their stuff. I still fail to see how the slow n sear is any diferent than raking your coals to one side, or using the inexpensive weber brand charcoal baskets. I have looked over their kettles and though they may have some uneccesary "feature upgrades" the build quality is not up to a weber standard. To me Weber kettles are built better, and most of the "upgraded features" can be accomplished without accessories. I do like the idea of a side shelf but that grill is like close to $400....how about a Weber premium kettle and a 50 dollar side shelf addon? LOL Or for $400 I'd pick a weber performer....that's just me though I guess.
@DeadBrokeBBQ
@DeadBrokeBBQ 2 жыл бұрын
Oh a Meat Cranium fan are ya? hahaha SnS is a great company and ya use whatever you want. Shit take a coffee can for all I care. But I have had 5 Weber kettles in my 30 years plus cooking for BBQ for myself and SnS did everything to a kettle that I did to my Webers. I like the design better than a Weber and the charcoal basket is purely for convenience but works great and I do not have to mess with pushing charcoal around and finding a water pan. I just grab the SnS toss it in the kettle light a few coals and bam I am cooking. Again I really don't care what other people's opinions are when it comes to the gear they use or I use to cook BBQ. As long as it works and you are happy with it so nuts. Thanks for watching!
@SNeal5966
@SNeal5966 2 жыл бұрын
@@DeadBrokeBBQ I am sure their accessories and stuff are convenient....I just can't stand their marketing lol I feel like I'd be a customer if their prices weren't so out of line though. I was interested for a while, just hard to justify their prices. I think it's very interesting how nearly all youtube bbq channels promote the stuff, I guess that's a pretty smart way to market a product for grilling. It's the "this is so scientifically proven to be beter" marketing I hate, bc that's just nonsense. I personally have the Weber summit Kamado, and I love that, of course that's a lot more expensive than a standard kettle (which I started with). I also have a self built offset, made of 1/4" steel 24" x 48", 2 racks. I do enjoy your content though regadless of the SNS stuff! Meat Crainium...?
@DeadBrokeBBQ
@DeadBrokeBBQ 2 жыл бұрын
All good brother! KZbinrs like working with SnS because they are good people and Dave is a very nice fella to work with too! Dave is super smart so that might explain why the science stuff gets added. I am serious when I say super smart. Sounds like you got a lot of cool cooking rigs yourself! My offset hopefully is here in June!! Meat Cranium did a few videos a few years back bashing SnS and at first it made sense but just because he didn't get something for free he went into rant mode about a lot of companies. Grandpa always told me be truthful but never bite the hand that feeds ya! ha ha I don't know MC from a can of rotten tomatoes but I know one thing he doesn't really do KZbin much anymore. Anyways have a great Easter and I appreciate you watching and leaving comments on the videos! I can't answer them all but I try to take a couple hours a week to touch base with a few viewers!
