I mix these in throughout my work day (desk job) and I get tons of relief from neck/shoulder tension. I've found using my armrests as if they were dip bars has been most effective.

How long do i have to do these exercises to stop shrugging and do i need to keep doing them

Jljemima, it all depends on why you are 'shrugging', I take from this that your shoulders sit high/over your shoulders are tight? You may need your neck released, your shoulders, rib cage etc. Try the Ant-Ag shrugs in neutral on this channel, this will help with the new habit...but if the body is keeping the shoulders up to protect certain structures then you will need to address that before you will get any permanent change or you're fighting against your body's own self preservation processes.
