Hey guys and welcome back to Mad About Skin where in todays video I want to talk how to reverse skin ageing and the 5 skincare ingredients I never skip in my own anti-aging skincare routine.
When it comes to skincare we all make mistakes, I didnt wear sunscreen properly until I was in my 30s for example, and these mistakes can lead to premature ageing in the skin. You dont need to put up with the premature ageing though as there are things which can be done about it.
In this video I want to share with you the steps I took and the ingredients I used in order to reverse skin ageing and bring back firmness and fade hyperpigmentation so you guys can learn from my mistakes and how I fixed them.

I’m really just upping my skincare game now at almost 47. Been lucky to at least use a good moisturiser but lacked In the sunscreen. I’m now wearing it every day even in the Scottish winter! Dear Rob, I believe you do not make a good job explaining your own product ;) I understand that you shy away from it but.... Hi Rob, For boosting vitamin C performance would you say that the G & G Stress Less serum is sufficient or should one think of using a full Centella asiatica based serum too. I must admit I didn't expect much from Stress Less but bought it following your recommendation. Just 3 or 4 drops packs quiet a punch as it is so soothing and calming. 2 spare bottles already on order. Thank you for the info.

I use Lactic 10% and RevolutionSkin Salycilic Acid Exfoliating Liquid and I've got a second BoJ Retinal Eye Serum but I'm not going to use it until I'm a month in to my Tretinoin and will use it AM . I love my Cosrx ampoule and skin 1004 centella tone ampoule.

Aloe vera also increases collagen. So I use Etude house aloe gel and Benton snail bee because it has snail and aloe

I’ve been having a terrible time using l-ascorbic acid lately since upping my retinoid RX. My question is I use Niod survival 0 as well as Paula’s choice super antioxidant under sunscreen and am wondering if those two are enough antioxidant to be similar to what l-ascorbic acid would do as far as protecting from free radicals? I’ve also been using off and on the ordinarys 15% ethylated ascorbic acid which I don’t know enough about. I always hear that there’s no guarantee with derivatives and that l-ascorbic is the way to go. I’ve lost sooo much collagen and elasticity the older I’ve gotten and just wonder if I’m doing enough protecting my face from more collagen loss?

Can you combine retinoids and any exfoliants in your skincare routine? I thought you should avoid any actives (e.g. strong/direct acids, exfoliants either chemical or physical, benzoyl peroxide or any harsh acne treatment/cleansers etc) from your skincare if you're doing tretinoin. I'm currently on tretinoin 0.1% and for a while then I tried to intermix it with exfoliants (tretinoin every night, exfoliant in the morning every 2-3 days) and my skin became really irritated and red and it hurt like hell. I had to apply aloe vera gel on my face and neck to relieve the pain and redness. Now I no longer use exfoliants and only stick with my tretinoin at night.

I’ve got a good handle on my skin I’m near 50 and people think I’m in my 30s . Retinol spf ect for 20 years now but what can we do on eyes I can see this ageing more than my face . There seems to be very little that actually works

I am so disappointed to hear that smoking decreases collagen. I have smoked for more than 20 years (mostly cannabis) I am forty now so it feels kinda pointless to attempt to stop. I use tret and all sorts of other "age defying" ingredients but can that off set the effects of smoking on my skin?
