Reversing a Corvair steering box.

This total hack of a video shows how I reversed my Corvair steering box to run traditional steering on my rat rod. Picked up this box at a junkyard and decided I would do it myself. Really pretty simple, hope this helps someone out cuz I couldn’t find much on the topic.

where did you get the parts from

so the freeze plug for the one side i found at a local auto parts store and the box i got from a junkyard that had a rusted out corvair

Cut the steering shat off. Leave enough to weld on a steering u joint. Much more user friendly.

I agree, I wasn’t sure exactly how I was going to setup the steering so I didn’t want to make more work for myself later.
