This was very informative. Thank you, you seem to really know what you're talking about!! I followed your channel. I had lyme and have not eaten eggs, dairy, and gluten for about 5 - 6 years. I have healed a lot and recently discovered I can digest cheese and milk again (but only the A2 variety)! I got super excited about this last week when I found I could drink milk again with literally zero reactions! In my excitement I overdid it. Instead of reintroducing it into my body very slowly... I drank a huge glass full every night. By the 6th or 7th night I had heart palpitations & I broke out into hives. I felt dismayed, but the reaction could have been far worse. I used to get reactions that were a lot more instantaneous & a bit more unnerving. I still want to try to reintroduce it, but at a much, much, slower pace.

Have been reacting to just about everything I eat. Usually a burning sensation that goes from left hip to right hip. If I eat kale, mushrooms, wheat etc. Also intolerant to soy, citrus, nuts, and milk. Not much left after that. Thank you for posting this as there is hardly any information out there on it. Well except for the typical heal leaky gut stuff.

I am absolutely no expert as I’m very new to this journey, but I was just diagnosed as having histamine intolerance and something called Mast Cell Activation Syndrome . Symptoms include burning sensations, and food sensitivities to pretty much everything you mentioned. I also learned I have many other intolerances to food, but in just four or five days of eliminating the triggers I feel significantly better. Long ways to go but I’ll take any help! The functional healthcare provider I see, who did have a lot of lab tests done on me, recommends the site Mast 360. There’s a lot of conflicting information out there, but she recommends this one.

Well told my doctor about how I cant eat meat and had a terrible reaction to eggs and even potatoes and some veg, and there's no way in the UK that you'd be sent for testing, so I've had to work out a diet to cover all food groups and made my own muesli, and have the pro biotic yoghurt with berries. I had gone off avocados for a few years now, so tried them again yesterday and I can eat them again now, so it seems that cutting things right out for a good length of time does work. I had lost 2 stones in weight due to the intolerances, which hasn't done me any harm.

Explain why food sensitivities and intolerances spikes the blood pressure so high. My IgE test was negative. So why am I sensitive and intolerant to foods I could eat before. Why does the body become sensitive and intolerant to food we could have before?
@rokz7608

Probably because you overload with that food you eated before. Salicylates,amines can spike your blood pressure.

Does it sound right that my body only responds well to raw veggies, fruits, nuts and seeds? Whenever I eat meat I get bloated and have the same response as I do to something like whole milk, my anxiety goes up and inflammation goes up. Chicken bloats a little bit but don’t get nearly as bad an effect as I do red meat. I’m gonna give white fish like Cod a try and salmon too. For some reason though raw fruits and veggies are the only foods that seem to give me best results aesthetically and also feels amazing for my body. But idk how sustainable it is

I have many food intolerances. I have slowly needed to exclude most foods that I have eaten in the past. I am currently only eating fruits and vegetables. I can eat eggs and butter with the ingredients of only cream and salt. My question is the reactions that happen when you eat foods that cause you problems are these reactions issues with your muscles. I experience severe muscle weakness, to the point of complete paralysis with my skeletal muscles. It gets very difficult to breathe because the muscles in my chest will not expand to allow my lungs to expand. I have been to Mayo Clinic they were able to tell me what my issue was as food intolerances and not allergies. They did not give me any advice on how to deal with them except to just eliminate those foods from my diet. As well as the rest of you this is very frustrating. I have been told there are others that are similar to my reactions as I was reading the comments, I am wondering if other people have the same type of reactions.

Yes! Same here! Fruits and veggies seem to be the cleanest source of fuel for me and red meat does not process very well. I’m also and athlete and it feels like I don’t even need protein, just raw fruits, veggies nuts and seeds. Idk how sustainable it is to eat this way but it seems to be working so far. It’s odd cuz I really don’t feel like I need protein at all

Hello Dr. Christianson. Based on the video it seems like it's best to eliminate irritant foods, next use antimicrobial (I'm on this step using Oil of Oregano) and next add in Pre/Probiotics. I read controversial things about using a proiotic along with Oil of Oregano as antimicrobial. Trying to do this right. Any advice?

I started cutting out foods that gave me symptoms, back in my 20's. That was 30 years ago. Ten years ago, I was diagnosed with Mast Cell Activation Disorder, and at this moment, have only one food I can tolerate, and it isn't very caloric. Doing some sublingual desensitization has helped in the past, but the sensitivities come back after a time. The amount of stress I have makes a big difference. I get the anaphylactoid type of reactions, and it may not make sense to do the desensitization on my own, but there are not many doctors who comprehend MCAD, so I found that I am on my own. Being on one food, at the moment, I have no choice but to do some desensitization and pray that I can get through it quickly....or else I could starve. Why do we need to leave the food dilution in the fridge for 3 days? Does it have less histamine 3 days later? I was eating 5 foods up to yesterday, but I tried a tiny piece of a dried blueberry, in the morning, (since juiced blueberries were going well), and I had a reaction. I reacted to everything else I ate for the rest of the day, effectively causing my body to now react to those foods too. I should have just stayed hungry after the reaction and let the mast cells calm down, but they were attacking everything I put in my mouth. No more of my apple/blueberry juicing or the other foods I was eating, which are pre-biotic, btw. There was only one food I didn't eat yesterday, and that one is the one I have until I can desensitize, again. I haven't tried doing 3 foods at a time, in water, in the past. It seems like the slow way, but much safer than what I was trying to do. Thank you. So, why in the fridge for 3 days? Thank you.

I have a severe intolerance to corn... within a couple of hours after consuming it I will become very anemic. I'm out of breath, fatigued and my gums go very pale. I have similar but less severe symptoms when I am on my period after several days. People seem confused that I have reactions to any bit of corn and even derivatives where there is no protein present. I even have reactions to citric acid which is several steps from corn. Even without reading a label I can always tell if I have taken a supplement that has something derived from corn in it. I'll get extremely dizzy within an hour... end up calling the company and they will confirm that either the ingredients were derived from corn or extracted using a derivative of corn. I basically live off of green smoothies because I can't hardly eat anything.

Hot spices like they use in for instance India and the Ayurvedic kitchen are known to fight off the pathogens and support the good microbiome. Cloves are one of the strong ones. Helping your body produce enough stomach acid also aids in this. Check out greenmedinfo.com to see the properties of different spices, herbs, and foods. You can eat lots of spices and avoid pre-made and packaged foods with preservatives in them. They are unfortunately very effective at killing good bacteria. Good luck!

Adrenal fatigue, or HPA axis disorders, cause leaky gut which causes intolerances. You have to address the root issue to ultimately deal with the food sensitivities and allergies. I'm on the adaptogens rhodiola and ashwaghanda for the adrenal issues, and a whole diet overhaul and various supplements to work on the leaky gut and resulting food problems.

Not everyone has the cash for endless expensive tests why not give advice that empowers people instead of empowering doctors like yourself. "Ignore you intuition" LOL you mean just continue entrusting our health to people like you? If you're reading this and are in trouble intuition is your best friend. Keep a food diary and do an elimination diet. If you can spare the money do whatever tests you think are right but never abandon your intuition and had over your health to crooks who only benefit from medicating you.

No need to lash out at experts giving free and helpful information, although I understand your frustration. My solution is kinesiology testing using finger muscles. It takes 1-3 months to learn how to do it in a way that rules out the mental overriding of the body's innate wisdom. Intuition is great. Finger testing is very practical and can support building that trust in your intuition. Both are great tools combined with knowledge.

I think he means sensitivities are different, because they pop up days later. You can’t trace back to days’ worth of food to find the culprit, creating a vicious loop of pain. He’s saying know what you’re reacting to through testing or a diary and avoid them.
