2 options: You can either connect to the OBD2 sensor via bluetooth then use an aux cable for the audio. The other route is if you have a bluetooth head unit or aux module to pair with.

This is my all-time FAVORITE engine from Revheadz! Using the OBDII Bluetooth adapter, I was able to make my car sound exactly like this!! The sound has always taken me back to those old car racing movies that date back to the 1960s, mostly the old Disney Herbie movies (the ones with the #53 Volkswagen Bug). Especially in this scene from the first Herbie the Love Bug movie from 1969, the car driven by the villain Peter Thorndyke has an engine sound a bit similar to how the 4.7L V8 in RevHeadz sounds: m.kzbin.info/www/bejne/m6fZfY2soZaDZtk

No, the OBD II port does not transfer audio. You will need to additionally pair it to your stereo or use an AUX cable.

How do you find the lag? The sound seems to change some time after you've shifted.

Since the OBD reading has to be converted to bluetooth, decoded by your phone, processed by your phone, then re-encoded for bluetooth and sent to your stereo, some level of lag is expected. Sometimes it's not as bad, sometimes it's worse. I recommend running the app with nothing else running and/or using an aux cable for piping the sound to your stereo.

Yes. I tested this morning and it's possible. Start pandora (or other music source..I'm assuming others that play in background will work too), once music starts playing, start the RevHeadz app and you should get both audio streams :)

I didn't actually swap the engine in the Jeep. It's just a review of a mobile application called RevHeads that uses engine data via your OBDII port to simulate various engine sounds. Best of luck with the engine swap tho, that would be awesome!! I don't know that you would be able to fit a V8 in there tho, I have a HEMI Ram and there is no way that engine would fit in my Patriots engine bay.

You will still need to use bluetooth to connect to your OBDii sensor, but yes, you can use an aux cable for getting the audio to your car stereo.

@@sobhy3623 Yes. Even if you dont have the obdii sensor yet, you could uses the app in manual mode and output the audio via an aux cord. Similar to other audio apps, it will play audio out of the phone or tablets speaker(s) by default but automatically switch to the headphone out when you plug in your aux cable.

I bought a "Panlong Bluetooth OBD2 OBDII Car Diagnostic Scanner" from amazon in Dec. of 2015 for $12.99. It is still offered, but now for $10.98 :) I highly recommend these things. **NOTE** This sensor is bluetooth only. There are wifi versions, but I have not tested any.

​@@DannyBoemermann I adjusted the EQ of 31 ~ 60HZ with the root phone, the effect is amazing. I used AUX portable audio and placed it in a wine box to simulate engine noise reduction. The effect was amazing. Give it a try.

Skillboost You can't connect two devices through bluetooth. You can either use an aux cable for sound output and a bluetooth connected obd2 or you can use bluetooth connection for audio and a wifi obd2.

I actually have 3 devices connected via bluetooth to my phone. My Gear S2 watch was connected first. Then I got into my car and connected to both the OBD2 sensor and the aux dongle I picked up for the radio since it only has AM/FM/CD/AUX.
