Review: 1970 Plymouth GTX (Silver) by GMP/Greenlight Collectibles in 1/18 scale

Hello everyone.
If you are a frequent visitor to the channel, then you know I love American muscle cars. I don't have many Plymouth GTX in the collection, especially 70s, and once I saw a decent price on this one, I had to pick it up (knowing that GMPs are basically kick ass.)
Did it live up to expectations and is it as great as I thought?

The GMP GTXs and Roadrunners are always stunning, and this one in no exception. 1970 was probably the best year for muscle car styling, in my opinion. Beautiful model and great review!

Stunning indeed. I can't easily pick my favorite year but I can say that these are definitely tops for 1970 and that indeed it was great because I'm partial to the Duster/Demon as you probably know lol!!

@@AtTonisGarage yeah, I've seen Chargers, Darts, etc but not many GTX. I think Solido is coming with some nice Mopars in 1/43 soon!

Another great one my friend. GMP really pulled out all the stops on this one. Yes, I too would be bummed with the edge on the hood, but, with all the options this came with, I would still be happy with it. With all said options, the only thing they're missing on it, is working head and tail lights!! Now THAT would something to see. Lol! Also love the paint combo. I think I need to check out some hobby shops near me for some prices.... lol See ya on the next video!

Oh, I can imagine! These are also a pretty penny down here as well (usually higher than $200). But I did get this one way below that price, if not, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have gotten it. 😊

Hey bud, great video! I'm not sure if you're aware of this or not, but I noticed that your car is missing the wheel opening chrome trim (I also own this model, which my car has the chrome trim around the wheel arches). Just wanted to give you a heads up about this! Check out your box to refer to what I'm talking about! Seems like a QC issue on GMP's part. I love their models and own many of them, but know that they can have their issues.

I actually feel bad letting you know because I get the feeling when you receive a flawed model. It's extremely frustrating because these models aren't cheap as you know. I'm sorry, man and you're totally welcome! I had to bring this to your attention. Hopefully you can return it, if that's what you decide to do? A4 Silver wasn't available on the '70 GTX. It was dropped after '69, and only 3 cars were special ordered in A4 Silver. I wondered how come I didn't remember see a '70 GTX in A4 Silver, so I looked and found out why? 🧏‍♂️

Correct and that's why the outer GMP box has that special code of "999" with the color. The factory inserted "999" for the paint code when non standard colors where ordered. So yeah, not an "official" color for this guy. But it does look good. Thanks!
