+Mwila Otieno Your latest Mercedes chant is full of wrong information. 1. The CLS550 produces less horsepower from an engine with two extra cylinders. 2. The CLS550 does 0-60 in 5.1 seconds and the Caddy does it in 4.6 seconds so the Merc in this case is definitely not the faster of the two. 3. The CLS63 AMG is nearly double the price of this Caddy and it's a mystery, why you're even mentioning it as a comparison here???? 4. Both Mercs are the same old hum drum classic Mercedes conservative look while Caddy has designed a conservative but fresh and sharp design that will turn heads. 5. We both know that the Caddy will be wayyyyy more reliable and cost effective to own than any Merc. Cadillac has ranked highly, and above the Germans in reliability ratings for a few years now and a quick internet research will show you the same.
@Sawashi329 жыл бұрын
***** The whole American cars are cheap and plastic argument is so ten years ago and no longer relevant. That point is only still used by people that either refuse to admit how far American cars have come in recent years or by people that don't have the foggiest idea of what they're talking about. The American car in this review certainly doesn't seem cheap and plastic for instance. I was wrong about the 0-60 time for the 550's V-8. It is right on par with the V-6 from Cadillac at 4.8 seconds. Still not faster than the Caddy. You compared the $108,000 (thats the starting price that will climb drastically with even the slightest of options) CLS63 AMG to the Cadillac CTS Vsport in this video, which sells for around the mid 60k range. In my book that is approaching double the price. You now backtrack and mention Cadillac's most expensive car, the CTS-V at 86k starting price. This car has absolutely nothing to do with your previous comparison between the high dollar CLS63 AMG and the Caddy CTS Vsport in "this review" or our conversation. The rest of your last reply is indecipherable and bounces all over the place with cars that don't even compete with each other and it is full of biased bull.
@Sawashi329 жыл бұрын
***** What recent American cars have you been in? Im dying to know. It may be different in your part of the world, but here, Mercedes is definitely not known for reliability by any stretch of the imagination. The majority of them are leased here instead of purchased so that the owner can unload the car before it becomes a complete money pit at the five year old mark. You can visit multiple websites to see how Cadillac fairs highly in reliability compared to BMW and Mercedes. Cadillac has been just behind Lexus in reliability for the last few years. You're still carrying on about the CLS550 and its price compared to the Vsport. I never argued with you on the price of those two cars. My price argument was for your comparison of the $108k CLS63 AMG to the $66k CTS Vsport but you just keep mowing over that minor little mishap. Thats a mere $42k price gap. You told me earlier that I shouldn't go to "biased websites" but you're the one spouting on about how perfect Mercedes is in several different comments on a Cadillac car review and that just comes off as a person that is biased and has something they feel they have to prove. Sorry. Just being honest.

Matt, aweomse and ACCURATE review.. I have BEEN anxiously (and impatiently !!) awaiting this review.. I personally own one of these and it is hands down the best car I have ever owned .. I had a 2011 CTS V sedan before this.. and several M3s (e90,e92, e46's etc) before that so to say its the best car Ive ever owned is a strong statement. I have driven the CTS-V and the ATS-V at circuit of the americas about 3 weeks ago and let me tell you what, you are in for a real treat when you get around to driving those cars.. Cadillac has stepped it up to a whole new level its just unreal how good they are now.. I really enjoyed this review of the CTS-Vsport great job.. oh yeah, mine is white with blue seats!! lol IMO the best spec :D

Only thing I didn't like with the 2015 CTS after a week was the CUE. It might be okay while not moving, but while driving the touch controls are almost impossible to use if not dangerous because they distract you from driving.

+Riley Nelson I've been saying this for years. No idea why all the manufacturers are going to touch screen controls etc... just following the trend of mobile technology without even thinking for a second what effect it has on safety and actual usability while driving. Another fantastic review Matt. I love your review style and the way you talk about these cars. Just a thought but have you thought about getting a higher quality camera. Don't get me wrong this camera isn't bad it's just when the you are driving through a shaded area and the light is flashing in and out of the car the camera doesn't really know what to do about it. Just a though. Love your videos and I can't wait for the SS review! :-)

Just as a note regarding CUE - one of the complaints about it in the past was response time, and as of this year they've begun really stepping up the processing power for CUE so I suspect this 2015 model has one of the upgraded units which would explain why it feels much more acceptable. I've never had a problem with CUE anyway, but upping the processing power - a 4x increase, as I understand it - most likely makes a massive difference in usability. Other than that, yes this is a world-beating performance luxury sedan, and this is only Cadillac's middle-performance model. The CTS-V is like the Vsport turned up to 11.
@ttroygotknife8 жыл бұрын
That speed gauge is deal breaker!
@christophermlindsay3 жыл бұрын
something to think about with CUE. First off, I love how it works. Once you are familiarized with it you learn all the "tricks" and there ARE tricks that making use of this system an every day treat. The bad news however is that the screens crack when left in the sun. Turns out this is a BIG problem with these systems and GM is ignoring it. They are charing folks upwards of $1200 to fix a cracked display, only to do it with the same faulty screens. I live in N.E., not exactly Florida Hot! I left my car outside in the sun whilst on a motorcycle trip for a week and came back to this problem. I found a company that makes aftermarket screens for about $100 and I replaced mine in about 1hr and it's been perfect and do I dare say it, better. The screen is warranted for 1yr and is supposedly using better bonding materials that prevent the cracking.

hey bro, it was a great review and highly informative. I like the fact that you take your time to make a review, be it a full 20 minute long over a period of a week.. i just dont understand how people can explain a whole car in just 3 or 4 minutes. keep it up! Another negative for this car you should have added is absence of a Sunroof. Most Germans have it. Anyway the postives outweigh the negatives I guess :) Cheers!
