Love this thing. Got it for £45 and sideloaded Nova Launcher straight over the top. Once you get rid of all the Amazon cruft it's a capable tablet for very little money.

I got this tablet for Xmas and after got tired of looking at the box,turned it on,connected and registered with Amazon. 1at impressions and reactions .... WTF just happen ??? 😯 I've been looking for a small portable tablet that I can take to a coffee bar and use, be productive and enjoy. This is it ! Way better than the TabA which sucks Butt ( not the Samsung's tablets are bad the S7 with keyboard is Awesome ) but this has got to be the best small tablet on the market. Other the IPad mini but 4x cheaper. After a few hours and pleasantly surprise, then Surfing Utube about this product. Thank you Erin for the review.

Not a fan of Amazon products...they always seems to break or have something go wrong after approx a year of use. My 2018 HD 8 tablets is acting wonky and WiFi antenna barely picks up wifi at home. Also, been through 4 FireTV sticks in like 2 years(remote issues, etc). Although, I do recommend the Kindles. Had one from 2013 that still works, although recently upgraded to PaperWhite. Good thing their products are cheap

Good review.But you forgot one important feature about the tablet,you can store up to 1tb of ram.Not many tablets can boast of this feature.

Look up a Windows program called "Amazon Fire Toolbox." You can get Google Play on there, along with disabling the lock screen ads and other useful utilities to really get the best out of your tablet.

personally I prefer the look of the older one to the new 2020. The older one although its taller but it looks slimmer. The new one, the screen is surrounded by fat ugly bezels which makes it looking antique.

I had the fire HD 8 gen 10 for a few weeks. hate the thing. Went to Amazon to write a review and they block me. I think it confusing. It not user friendly. I open up my son tablet and use like phone or I can use like lap top. I do not like it. Wish I never bought it. Will not use it and trying to return it. I know it didn't cost much but I have a used Samsun tablet that about 8 years old that is easer to use.

I have this tablet too! and I got the turtle case 🐢 I had this for almost a month and the only problem I keep seeing is those thick bezels around the screen. Guess im spoiled from my galaxy phone.. Otherwise its a blast!

I too am a satisfied Samsung Galaxy user (A71 5G) and appreciate its engineering and screen real estate on my mobile phone. On my Amazon tablets and what I use mine for (viewing content and reading) I actually prefer a bezel to hold the larger device and prevent screen touches. (Yesterday I ordered a new Fire HD 8 Plus replacing my older but surprisingly still supported '16 HD 8 I traded in)

Games like Fort night won't run very good on this tablet. I have this yablet, but you can pretty much just play basic games on it, and that is about it. You need more powerful tablet to play graphic heavy games. I use my better Samsung tablet for games.

I thought the minimum RAM required was 4GB for fortnite. So hardware wise this doesn't cut it.

It's got a quad core processor so they are pretty good. I had tried to play Roblox iPad 2 which was only dual core processor (A5) and they slow. Which mean this fire HD tablet are easily better than the iPad 2. That's called progression for me.
