Do you know why my alarm would not be a constant green the alarm went off in the kitchen and I wasn't able to reset it so I replaced the battery and now instead of a constant green it blinks green about every minute

Did you use the new wiring provided with the new alarm or did you use the old ones already wired in the ceiling?

I took the backup battery out of my hard-wired smoke alarm because it started to chirp (once) every minute or so and wouldn't stop, and I don't at this time (now 5AM!) have a fresh battery to replace it with. Yet it's STILL doing it, without a battery even in it! Would it warn the same for a missing battery as for a weak or dead one?

Yes, if there is no battery it will chirp. If you replace it and it still chirps, disconnect it, hold down the test button for about 30 seconds, and then put the battery back in.

I was very pleased with your video. You kept your hands out of the way and let us see what you were doing. The only confusion I had was when you showed the other wires giving me the impression that I had to actually put the thing together. My only question is do I need to turn off the power source before doing what you ultimately did: replace the unit?

I'm guessing you can't use the same bracket that 4120 was on that what I'm assuming since you took that bracket down put another one up

You lipped the wiring and don’t say it used same connectors cuz some ppl had a cheap and different SD on there and need help with the wiring that’s the whole reason ppl watch the other stuff you did a child can figure that out if your gonna help ppl out show everything not half of install
