I’ve literally just put a deposit down on basically the same car… I managed to get one with the sunroof, electric and heated seats, and the pro nav screen. 26k miles and all at a very good price. I was considering the 120i but didn’t wanna lose all those extra features and take on extra insurance costs. I don’t think I’ll miss the power coming from a corsa too

How you finding it mate? Hopefully picking mine up this weekend. I was so indecisive on getting a manual or auto. I just love the experience of changing gears with manual but I settled for the auto as they’re a bit quicker. Either way I’m ready for the upgrade and I think it’s a perfect second car choice and can’t wait

I have a 2018 118i with the sport edition in dead blue I call El Pepe, the M Sport would have been nice a little out of range after I loaded up with the seats and stereo with Apple Car play. I live in Holland close to the German border so I get chance to get out to the Autobahn and there is about 15 to 20 min stretch that is limitless. I found the car is very comfortable getting up to 180 -185 kph, but up to 200 kph takes a bit to get there. However, at 175-180 kph the car does just fine and seems to be in its own element. The fuel economy is excellent even in city traffic speeds. This summer I makes some videos from road trips I'll let you know when I do. I am just working on upgrading my kit, have a drone, and now a new video camera before I start. Lots of people vloggers are using the Canon G7X ii and that is what I am leaning towards. May I know what you use?

Peter Fowler that is brilliant to know I really wanna take my car up to the top end speed, to see what it feels like the fastest I’ve been in my car is 130 MPH (209 KPM) and it felt right in its element like you said, but I know it can make it to 150/155 MPH (249 KPH)!! @@edparkinson3425 I still have to switch over my winter to summer tires, they are rated to 210 kph....I had 200 kph pretty spot on for my max speed. Got mine 2 days back. Manual gearbox . Does the gearbox needs to be broken in ? Seems a bit stiff

SuperKiko112 yes at first I does feel stiff at first! But they are brilliant gear boxes, it performs bed between 2,000-6,000 so I always change up at 6000 because you hit the Rev range just right for the next gear

Definitely the F20/21 1 Series any day over the A Class a lot better driving experience, rear wheel drive, and if you go for the 140i it’s even better!! And in my opinion the 1 series is better looking!!

Do you feel it has enough power from the 1.5? I previously had the 1.6 four pot which was quite nippy and these have about the same power.

Yes it has enough power, really good power delivery, smooth and easy to control, and with the smoother power delivery makes sliding it really fun and predictable.

I have the same car, manual gearbox. Sorry but rev holding is embarassing, it's impossible to upshift at a decent speed without being weirdly pushed forward (as clearly happens in your video at 9.02, changing from 1st to 2nd). Gears are incredibly long (more than 60 km/h in 1st, more than 110km/h in second, maybe good for a 140i not for 136 hp). The engine below 2500 rpm is dead (which is very strange being a modern turbo) and is absolutely mute, I wonder how you can say that is clearly audible inside the car. I'm not saying that the sound it makes is bad, I'm saying that you can barely hear it as happens in your video, Even if you rev it, almost no sound reach the microphone (9.02 is still an example). Ride is too firm for 80% of real world's road. If you put together all of this it absolutely spoils the driving pleasure which is mad if you think that BMW is a brand which sholud be mostly about driving pleasure. Than of course you can buy the 8 speed automatic transmission which has shorter gears and no rev hold, you can buy adjastable suspensions and a 3.0 6 cylinders engine and it might become a great car but this is not the way to build a great car. You don't need 8 gears and 1000 electronic devices and 50000 euros to build a great car. 6 gears for 136 hp should be more than enough as well as standard suspensions and 136 hp for a car which weights 1.350kg. Sorry but this car, Msport or not, is not a driver's car.
