Quite a few years ago I got an M1 Garand Toy from like local dollar store for around $10 and It used clips and it shell ejected the spent casings, It was awesome it even had the Ping too. They don't make it anymore though unfortunately.

I just realized that replacing the stock tank and pump mechanism with an external HPA tank with the limiter set to the pressure the would activate the overpressure valve would make this thing much more useful already! then add a semi-auto disconnector (or possibly even a solenoid valve with some circuitry instead of the mechanical one) and an anti reversal latch and support rails for the clips and boom, u've got a game-worthy blaster!

What's so hard to understand about this!? Here, I'll explain step by step: 1. Throw the existing air tank and pump out but keep the firing mechanism 2. Get an HPA system (HPA stands for High Pressure Air) with a regulator 3. Connect said HPA system to the firing mechanism 4. Open the regulator until the overpressure valve of the firing mechanism JUST starts to bleed off excess pressure 5. Turn the dial back a bit until the overpressure valve closes again 6. Insert a fully loaded clip of whatever size u want and start shooting! Optional steps: 7. Add a mechanism that disconnects the trigger after a single shot and resets the mechanism to achieve semi-auto shooting 8. If u wanna stick with full-auto only, bypass the original trigger mechanism (which I'm sure also involves a valve) and put in an electronic valve and trigger switch instead, which would probably give u a much nicer trigger and allow much more liberal trigger placement (meaning u could build ur own gun without having to worry about placing the trigger and firing mechanism in any specific positions so they will work properly) 9. Add a latch that stops the clip from moving when it isn't supposed to, especially from moving backwards and falling out of the gun 10. Add some rails that support whatever portion of the clip still sticks out of the gun, further reducing its tendency to fall out

Interestingly enough, I never had a problem with clips falling out with that blaster's grandpa, the "Rapid Madness". In fact, I regularly use the 40 round clips in it, but of course the Halo assault rifle is a different blaster

I think the reason burst fire failed is because it was letting too much air out of the individual trigger pulls, and some of that air is wasted because the clip stops abruptly. So, it’s out of air before you finish the clip. Maybe pumping a bit more after burst firing for a bit would allow you to finish the clip? I’m just guessing though.
