This is an impressive looking early "challenger" model and would be an excellent locomotive to display alongside the UP "Big Boy" and fef series models as a lineup of popular Union Pacific rr steam power.

Challengers are my favorite steam engines!

I love the light challengers!!! I heard they did have some problems getting trains up the hill. That’s why they built the heavy ones and the big boys.

this thing pulls like crazy but the real full scale ones were there to assist in multiple situations.

It’s a bummer that none of the early challengers survived the cutting torches

When I got mine the front pilot was loose I had to take it apart and tighten up the screws on the pilot and my brother's model the plastic connection between the engine and the tender broke and the front pilot was loose to Broadway it really dropped the ball on quality control

Thanks again for your very good reviews... They have played a large part in my final decisions to buy or not buy a number of locomotives... and I very much appreciate that (my bank account, not so much)! In recent months I have taken a path that has led to sharing my thoughts via comments on a few select channels of interest some of which include questions and/or suggestions for channel providers, that might help (in my opinion) improve their channels. The latest ones for you are... what is the new dynamometer you used in this video and have you thought about including in the review a look at the underside the locomotives to see what number of axles are powered (and which ones) as well as how many axles utilize traction tires...as that ct give a much better job of explaining the levels of tractive effort vs. the weight or gear train parameters, for example! Lastly, as I have noted previously, it's very hard to hear your comments during the review, when you have the locomotive sound effects blasting in the background. Thanks for listening to this in advance and I only suggest it to hopefully help improve an already very good channel! Take care and stay safe!

Is the BLI the best Big Boy HO out there right now? Or Trix?
@cowcatcherstudios5759 Жыл бұрын
Don't bother with the Trix. Athearn makes a good one, too bad they don't Make them anymore.

what are you talking about? I didn't remove any comments. Did you say something that triggered a youtube filter?
