I haven't been able to draw for ten years now because I have M.E, a friend suggested to get a drawing tablet as it would be much easier for me, and as my hands are getting better. So watching lots of reviews to decide what I should get. It will take some saving so I have some time before I'll be purchasing... Interested to know if your review has held up over time? I absolutely loved this review - I should be getting mine today - but I would like to tell you that you shouldn't have to default your pen. I was listening to some other reviews that were having similar problems. I can't remember which one, but one of them said to just turn off the drive then turn it on again... I believe it was on the JelArt review... but I could be wrong as I have been watching all these guys for a few days now XD Anyways, you earned a sub with your well done review!

I was casually dreaming about owning a drawing tablet. But had not given it much thought since the big ones I wanted are so expensive. I was on Amazon then suddenly this thing pops up as a lighting special. I grabbed it fast. Don't think I ever made a decision that fast in my life about an electronic device. Minutes later it went back to regular price. That price of $363 could indicate rare specials for this unit in the further.

Thank you for such a nice review of this product. So, would this have been a good monitor for you when you were a beginner in digital art? I have actually won this monitor and I am extremely excited to start my adventure into digital art. I dreamt of digital art before it even existed many many years ago, but never had the opportunity to do it except for silly apps on phones and regular tablets. I don't expect to learn it all in a day and I do understand computers and programs like these. I recommend going to Huion's website to get your drivers. On the disk, they are most likely outdated. So just get your Huion drivers from their website to make sure you are getting the newest and the best drivers :)

Yes the pens are wireless. This one needs charging with a cable but newer models don't. The pens are automatically turned on and connected to the tablet (at least from my experience). Hope this helps:)

Wish you would have also gone through the steps of setting it up. I bought mine and haven't been able to use it as it's not working with my Windows 10 for some reason. Maybe I did something wrong. It's just been sitting there for a while now.

Jade Currier I did go through the set up - I went through everthing, from plugging in the different cabels to installing the software. I used the defult settings and it took a couple of mintues to install. It should work perfectly on windows 10 - what I would do is uninstall it and then set it up again. You can always email Huion if you have a problem.

I have a question about this tablet, while you are drawing on it, do you have to plug the tablet into your laptop/computer? If so, what happens if you unplug it? Does the screen turn black?

Yes you have to plug the tablet into a laptop/pc. It's basically like a second monitor. And yes when you unplug the tablet from the laptop the tablet screen goes black and turns off but the artwork program and all the files are on the laptop so that is still on and open:)

I am REALLY new to this. Does the tablet end up taking the place of your monitor? Can you still use your monitor or must you disconnect the tablet in order to do so? I have just installed mine but so far I'm not able to use the pen on the tablet. Don't know what's wrong as both of them are fully charged. Any suggestions or ideas would be great! Thank you! :)

Hi Cheryl, I use both the pen display and normal monitor. Is your PC settings set to replicate screens? That might be causing your issue. If you have just installed the tablet then sometimes you need to restart the PC to use everything. Oh and if you also have to uninstall any previous drawing tablet software from your computer otherwise the new tablet will not work right. Hope one of those suggestions helps:)

You can download the latest version of the driver software from Huion's website, if you haven't already, that could help. You also need to make sure that any previous drawing tablet software is uninstalled. Oh you could double check the pen is fully charged, whenever my pen wasn't working, it normally because I had forgot to charge it. Other than that, I don't have a surface pro so I don't know if I can be very helpful here.

photoshop doesn't come with the tablet. you have to pay for a subscription every month for photoshop ://. But there are free drawing programs like fire alpaca and medibang!

There are no programs on the monitor. You plug it into your PC and then run whatever programs you have on the PC. It's basically a second screen you can draw on for your PC. Hope that makes sense:)

You need to have a PC or laptop to plug in the monitor - It's basically a screen that you can draw on. I use my laptop (I'm not sure about tablets through - I would suggest sending Huion a quick email and asking them if the monitor is compatible with your device. If your pc or latop can run Photoshop or a similar program then it should work fine with the monitor. Hope this helps:)

I just plugged it in and it worked from the start - you could try restarting the computer after installing the Huion driver, that can help. Also updating the driver can fix problems. I would also try emailing Huion and see if they have any suggestions - their customer support is good:)

You can use whatever software you have on your PC or laptop. The monitor is basically a screen you plug into your PC or Laptop to draw on. There are no programs installed on the monitor. Hope that makes sense:)

@@danielabarnes7729 unless the product comes with a key or license for specific programs, none will ever come with preinstalled programs since it is a monitor with a digitizer in it. It requires a computer/laptop to run. Which means it is getting information from your personal computer, like any monitor would, and displays it. If it's a tablet with its own components to be its own standalone pc workhorse then it could possibly come with any drawing apps preinstalled. Like the Wacom mobile studio pro or Surface Pro. Either way, none do. Some offer a license for certain programs, but you are gonna have to buy them yourself or use free apps like Krita.

I haven't had that problem, so I don't think I can be helpful. I would email Huion support or see if they have live chat on their website to help you. It might be a problem with your laptop. This is in contrast to Microsoft who, when I asked them and what drawing software their drawing device supports, said they don't know. I had to figure it out based on their specs. Gimp and Krita are great free software.

This is not helpful. You are only showing how to calibre the tablet, but not showing how to get the computer to recognise Huion immediately. I am helping someone with installing Huion. Both the Huion and driver are installed, but the tablet screen remains *BLACK,* even with the power button switched on.

I'm sorry you feel that way - the video was designed to be a as helpful as possible. I showed the entire installation process - in my case the pc recognised the monitor instantly and brought up the installation menu. If you're having trouble then perhaps you should try contacting Huion and see if they can help you. It may be a problem with your computer - it should recognise the tablet on its own.
