this is better than all the other demos on this pedal

Very versatile pedal. A phase shifter and a slide are a perfect combination

Would you place the phaser in the chain before or after the distortion? I’ve heard filtered effects should come first before distortion pedals and modulated effects after.
@jimmyhoffa25303 жыл бұрын
It depends on the kind of distortion or overdrive pedal i've noticed. I've had mixed results where with some distortions it sounds good before and with others afterwards. It's just whatever sounds better to the individual who's playing it.

@@jimmyhoffa2530 Thank you for your input! I use fuzz exclusively and I’ve tried the BS in both positions in the signal chain and I actually prefer it after the fuzz than before. I think it just comes down to personal preference. Thanks again!
@mattgilbert73472 жыл бұрын
@@MrFuzzleupagus With Fuzz, you have to consider the impedance/buffer problem. Most traditional Fuzzface or Tonebender type pedals like to be first in the chain (low input/high output impedance, as opposed to most other pedals), so a Phaser will usually work better after the Fuzz. Not always, and I have a couple of modified Fuzzface-style pedals that can work with a Univibe in front, my preference. A Univibe is a kind of phaser.

@@mattgilbert7347 Thank you! I opted up placing the phaser after the fuzz.

Please STOP!!!... comparing phasers to flangers (or other effects) - Aint Talkin About Love used a flanger... Baracuda used a flanging - a homemade one based on a circuit from an electronics magazine. A flanger is a time based effect, a phaser is a frequency based effect. It is not a flanger, not a Leslie, and not a univibe. It is what it is. You should be comparing it to a Maestro PS-1a which was the first one to come out. It sounds NOTHING like a flanger... sheesh...

This guy is a great guitar player and his reviews are great, however during interviews the guy isn't as great. He asks questions that should be obvious. "What is that?", "That is an overdrive pedal.", "oh, what does that do?" like come dude, common sense stuff.

it's a shame that not everybody can have the encyclopedic knowledge of guitars that you have, isn't it. he asks basic questions for the benefit of beginners asshat.
