I own 2 of those Noodle Cookers. 1for my Motorcoach and 1for my Camper Conversion Van. Great "little kitchen" cooking appliances from Dash and MyMini. Very cost effective and functional. Well worth the inexpensive price.

Agree 100% I have also tested out my power supplies with various appliances. The main appliances to run are the refrigerator and a freezer, plus a portable ac unit. The ac takes 1,100-ish watts at full blast, 900w at a good cool setting. Coffee maker and microwave covered. Only things I cannot run (yet) are the washing machine. Dryer is a luxury for the most part. I just ordered a EG4-LifePower4 Lithium Battery | 24V 200AH | Server Rack Battery from Signature solar. Add that to my current setups and that will give me about 11,000w actual output. Gonna' need more solar panels!

Nice! I hope you have a local source for the panels. I can get used ~300 watt panels for $100 or under near me. Saves a lot of cash. What size is your AC? Must be fairly large to use 1100 watts :-) I use 5-6k units and they stay under 500. I only plan to keep one room (master bedroom with bath) cool though.

@@thetechieprepper My ac is 12,000 BTUs. We had (sold it about 3 months ago) a small house and I could cool down 3 rooms using fans and the ac. Not cold, just cool. No local used panels for sale that I have found. Size is an issue so 200w panels are about as big as I want to go.

@@winstonsmiths2449 Sorry to hear you can't find local used panels. They have saved me a lot of cash over the years.

@@thetechieprepper I can buy a pallets worth of used 300w panels from a company in TX I believe. But I do not need a pallet and no one I know wants that many or any at all! Fuzzy on the details but I think the name of the company is SanTan?

If our power goes out during an Edmonton winter, we do not care about the fridge, freeze, and ac - all our food will be frozen, since our winters often dip to -30F. Our primary concern would be heat. These tiny appliances are ideal as they draw less wattage from the solar chargeable battery or power station that you have set up. You will be able to get hot food or liquids into your body (you do have a sub zero sleeping bag, right?), plus heat up your hand warmers and foot warmers - and of course charge your phone for news updates.

Good video. Also if you have an INVERTER microwave then you can turn the power down and run it off a low power inverter. Say if you only have a small 500w inverter and an 1000w inverter microwave you can turn the microwave power down to 50% or lower it will only draw 500w or lower. Takes longer but you don't need a big 2000w inverter

Yeah, inverter microwaves are nice! I think the only ones I've actually seen here in the US are Panasonic. I've never used one though. I might have to pick one up someday and play around with it!

Sorry, but I'm right there with you. I'm posting a new video using an indoor smores maker as a hotplate in a day or two.

I'll stick with a Coleman stove for cooking without electricity.

I have several of them and plenty of fuel and propane (depending on which type) too. Doesn't hurt to have multiple options. If you ever run out of fuel or propane, you always have the sun.

I have and use a sun oven. It works well for three seasons but the winter sun angle is too low where I live.
@thetechieprepper11 ай бұрын
@@zone4garlicfarm What type of Sun Oven do you have? Does it have fold out reflectors? My All American Sun Oven adjusts angle to about 45 degrees and has large reflectors. Don't know if that would help where you live but worth checking out. It was one of the first videos I ever posted. It makes good cookies too!

@@thetechieprepper I have the same oven. The reason I can't use it quite year round is in December and January the sun barely gets high enough to clear the surrounding trees. By mid February I get a long enough period of direct sun to start using it again.
