Wow. Those are really neat speaker. I especially like the start up/shut down sounds and the symbol in the centre of the speaker looks like a TIE Fighter, so - bonus! Right now I am using good old Logitech speakers, but when they finally stop working these would be at the top of the list as a replacement.

yeah im a big fan of how these look as well. Plus the sound that comes from them is quite nice especially considering the size of the speakers.

How loud would you say the start up/shut down noise it? I’m not sure I would be a fan and if it’s a big long noise, it might be a dealbreaker

Its hard to tell hearing through my laptop speakers bij estaticly its a very nice looking speakers and i trust your judgement about the sound.

That turning on and off noise is so offputting is there no way to disable it?

Great video. I dig how you're talking to yourself telling you to calm down man. Made me giggle as I'm the same damned way about things. Nice product from Edifier there. Audio from the mic in the iMac edit suite sounds a little odd. Just saying. Might need a little fine tuning. Could be the echo.

I've worked on my audio skills over the past five years and I've become nitpicky (for my podcast and production at work), so I can be a bit pushy when it comes to that. Didn't mean to offend in any way. It takes time and patience to tune a new mic.
