Review - Futurama: "Saturday Morning Fun Pit" Episode

You're welcome for the request Matt. 😉 But yeah, this is definitely one of the best episodes from the Comedy Central run of Futurama. It gets a lot of comedy mileage not just out of the parodies themselves, but the fact that Richard Nixon of all people, is watching them. As someone who consumed a lot of Scooby Doo during my childhood, I've gotta say that the depiction is pretty close to accurate. You can definitely tell the writers are working in their frustrations that they have with cartoons like Scooby Doo and Smurfs, and the animators do a great job of capturing those cartoons identifiable styles. Having Nixon than reedit the GI Joe parody, adds to further hilarity. I think both this episode and Reincarnation, deserve to sit right alongside the Anthology of Interest episodes of the original Fox run of Futurama.
