Never cared to watch these kind of cgi films. I like stuff like Species and Aliens. This stuff looks all Cgi out and the cover doesnt grab my attention. I hate to be negative but it isnt my cup of tea

I never cared watching the venom films. The first one just came off as goofy and normie slop.

The thing about this movie I that there’s a lot of comedy movies I love but even some of them have 3 or 4 moments of humor that don’t land. But, kick-ass 1 is a movie where the humor lands the whole movie. I don’t think there was one moment of humor that felt try-hard and it felt naturally funny. I like kick-ass 2 also and that movie has some good laughs but the first movie was stronger as far as humor

This entire trilogy felt like it was poorly written from the beginning. Tom Hardy was always a poor choice for eddie, dude looked constipated and confused through most of it. Part 2 was such a waste, carnage should have been a huge threat, woody Harrison seemed subdued and tired through most of it. Im already well burnt out on superhero crap, but was willing to give the venom movies a shot, what a waste of time.

Okay, I am just going to say it - I actually liked the movie. But I understand if you didn't.

I don't hate superhero films or comic book movies however this movie sucked they wasted null when you read the comics null is a avengers level threat and here they treated like a background character and plus these Sony movies without Spiderman even tho the characters were created in Spiderman comics is pointless to make movies for. Sony needs to stop making these pointless brain dead movies.

I didn’t hate this like Venom 2 but still didn’t like it all and the final nail on the coffin was songs from Maroon 5 and Post Malone(ugh). If Knull was killed off in this movie I would rate it worse than Venom 2 but thankfully they didn’t.

If that balding weirdo Kevin Feige offers Tom Hardy a big enough check, he'll show up in the next MCU Spider-Man movie. Because we know Disney/Marvel is desperate now.

The only thing I can say about Sony is, even though their Spider-Man movies without Spider-Man suck and they should sell Columbia Pictures, at least they still got PlayStation.

I liked Smile 2 to an extent and thought Naomi Scott did a great performance but however the plot gets ridiculous with how half of the movie is in her head and nothing she experienced was Real. That wasn't the case with the first Smile. I also think the character was less sympathetic than Rose in Smile because she technically killed her boyfriend. I also noticed that they didn't include the bit with Naomi Scotts character that if she killed someone she could escape the Demon and the reason for that is because i could see her doing the Murder unlike Rose in Smile who had more of a moral compass. Smile 2 ending was also stupid and predictable as hell.

Stunning scenery, the vastness of the Scottish highlands is awe inspiring. The problem is the vastness and rugged terrain poses several plot holes. Just how do the two bad guys manage to traverse the terrain with no equipment? How do they manage to catch up with the female climber after she climbs down the sheer rock face and starts running at breakneck pace. In fact how does she manage to come across the rest of the group, how could they be ahead of her?

I hate this pile of garbage. It's like they are trying to make it bad on purpose.

The first film was overrated trash so I didn’t bother with this The first film was just a lazy rip of The Ring and It Follows which were much better Hell even The Invisible Man 2020 which is a remake is more original than that crap and that’s actually a good movie

I will just rewatch Spider Man The Animated Series and Spectacular Spider Man as well as playing several video games to see a better portrayal of Venom.

23:55 LOL This comment is true for EVERY comic character. The comic version is ALWAYS better than the movie. This includes the good movies and portrayals. Nothing beats decades of comics, thousands of comics. A movie shoot just doesn't stand a chance.

Selling your soul for fame is a real thing and this is proof. Hollywood is a disgusting cesspool. Look at some of those kids and how famous they have become or were at one point. That's why so many kids grow up and have meltdowns because of all the manipulation, mind control and despicable acts they have to go through at a young age.

Great point on marvel actors never being truly gone. People don't seem to grasp this like you perfectly summed up here. To put it in basic terms, actors play roles for a living aka money. When they say they are done, that only really means the last "as of right now". Because they never know what money issues they may get into in the future. So it's never over. An actor can be satisfied after a third movie, BUT maybe the economy causes him/her to need another role like this. Or maybe they had kids that need to go to college? So they do another movie. Or whatever.

I never got the humour of these films. It's just Tom Hardy talking to himself like a madman on drugs. He's not exactly Bruce Campbell smashing plates over his head.

I liked this movie. Appreciate the honesty though! And wow you aint even seen Kraven yet, cant wait for that review. Kraven is way worse than this 😂

I actually rather enjoyed this movie.

I'm glad I didn't watch the film all the way through. I would have died of boredom. And if that was the last thing I'd see, then how sad would that have been. Whole thing is an advert for mind control/MK-Ultra/butterfly and one-eye symbolism bullcrap.

Awesome Rant Matt, I Respect your Opinion, IMO I Love the 1st 2 Venom Films, Great Action, very Funny, Well Written & Directed, Tom Hardy & Woody Harrelson did a Great Job Too, there Some of my Favorite Marvel Films, I thought Venom 3 was Ok Time Waster, I Enjoyed the Action, Tom Hardy, Juno Temple, & Chiwetal Ejiofor did a Good Job, butbits Not a Film I Love cause it Felt Slow At Times, but its Ok Film, bit it's my Least favorite Venom Film

I missed like the first 20 mins or so, so I've gone back to watch what I missed. I never saw Ford Fairlane until last year and the copy I found online was the bad VHS as well so had to watch it like that, now I got that bootleg Spanish HDrip on bluray

This movie was utter dogshit. This whole trilogy was nothing but a huge waste of money and potential.

I really liked the original smile. I haven’t seen the sequel yet because I’m scared I’ll hate it and we know the track record with sequels and the fact that movies are hilariously bad now but good work here Matt! I always like watching your reviews; very real and no punches pulled with amazing humor😄

Sony has apparently put a stop to this Spider-Man villain film series, since _Kraven the Hunter_ flopped. But Hollywood being what it is, I won't write off Tom Hardly returning. The upside to this is I'm getting some of that 7UP.

When it comes to the Venom films, I’d say I like them but don’t love them. I’m not sure how I’d even rank them since all 3 of them are pretty much on the same level for me, quality wise.

These movies solely exist because they make money and people will pay to see it which spawns all these unnecessary sequels.

SPOILER for the movie In the scene where the main character got in the car with her “friend”, it was supposed to be a surprise BUT I thought that was not actually her friend since she insisted on getting inside the car with the main character. My guess was correct

I didn't mind this but that ending was so predictable, people already knew what would happen when the trailer dropped.

I don't get all the hype for Smile 2 either. I thought it was laughably stupid. People were praising the acting particularly the lead but I thought she was so over the top at times especially the car scene which looks like a PS3 game. Agreed the opening was the most interesting aspect of the film so of coarse they don't go that direction. They also introduce another possibly intriguing avenue in the third act but once again they don't follow through on it and the ending becomes extremely predictable. These Smile flicks are overrated af!

I'll always laugh at how AWFUL movies like Smile and Smile 2 somehow get critically praised while actual decent horror films like Hills Have Eyes and Wrong Turn get trashed!
