James Hedding No, it really isn‘t, believe me. So many delays, trains who get cancelled, trains not stopping at a certain train station for some reason, air conditioning is out of order in the summer, not enough seats for all the passengers, waste in the trains, filthy toilets and last but not least no free wifi in most trains or very poor WiFi in ICEs. And it‘s relatively expensive compared to other European countries, unless you book your ticket very early or use a certain offer.

@kenjryker I prefer ICE over the TGV for the simple fact that in ICE you have separate compartments. On some routes the train is long and people are few so you can sometimes have compartments just for yourself. You can adjust the temperature in the room and even turn the light off, which is especially nice to have to look out at night.
@antonandren64585 жыл бұрын
You need to try a trip with a change of trains. They are usually late and local connections don't wait. One needs to leave a couple of extra hours when taking the train to an airport as I have come to expect that I won't make at least one train and will need to wait an extra hour.
