The latest generation GNX base has only one rotary encoder. Mine has two because it’s the generation before. They switched one encoder out for a 3 point switch. Which in theory, would be a good landing gear switch.

Thanks for the awesome review! Was searching up a review to potentially buy it and your video helped alot

Awesome! Happy it helped. I really like it. Even though they call it a "Space combat grip," I'm glad they didn't go with a sci-fi look. Rather it looks just like a stick you would find in a helicopter or fighter jet. Have fun!

You’ve been a tremendous source of organized information for years! Hope you get to Flight Sim Expo

Thank you Brian! It was good seeing you at the expo years ago. I might be back one of these days. I have a work trip I need to go on that weekend. I typically go when I have a sponsor, or some type of work I can do while at the event.

Great review! Thanks. It was debating between this stick and the Winwing URSA MINOR Fighter Joystick. I'm going with this one!

I am impressed with VKB offerings. For me my primary choice is VIrpil but when I play on my sons rig, the Nxt Evos are nice .

I love this stick, only issue for me is the comfort, especially in the thumb area after long periods. My previous logitech extreme 3d was probably the worst stick I've ever tried but it was at least comfortable to hold.
@TrueBlade-18895 ай бұрын
Great stuff. For me... important point-- they're light weight, which is relevant if you use a lightweight stand. The metal ones may be better, but they are VERY heavy and need a more cumbersome rig.

Because I use my mouse for views, I think a left hand stick might be good for me. Helpful for helicopter if not natural, and using the X56 throttle backwards is interesting.

I see it shows VKB North America. So does that mean that they now have a shipping center in North America or do you still have to pay for the expensive shipping from overseas?
@vulcan4d2 ай бұрын
If they did free shipping like winning then I would choose this.

Whats the best option for someone flying mainly airliners, this or the Thrustmaster Airbus stick?
@TheFlightSimDeck5 ай бұрын
@@ramokerat123 my personal choice would be this one. I like the grip shape better, the spring tension choices and you have like 20 buttons you can program within reach of your thumb. I’ve used them for trim, flaps, Spoilers, then you have buttons left over for TOGA and AP modes. I used the T16000M which is similar to the Airbus one. It’s not bad, but this one is so much more versatile.

EVO has only one encoder on the base, for me previous version (as on the video) more suits better
@TheFlightSimDeck6 ай бұрын
Yeah I guess on the latest one they removed 1 encoder and added a 3-position switch in its place. I would have kept both. It might still work for changing knobs under the same mapping type.

@@FlyBoeing7 I think you would be fine with the standard. Only difference is the trigger function and they added an 8 point mini stick.

dat shipping tho...
@TheFlightSimDeckАй бұрын
@@zevan9592 damn yeah, mine calculated as $40. They might as well up the price so the shipping isn’t so shocking. They all come from China.

I think it's $40 anywhere in the states or something. But if they offered free shipping I would probably have bought it
