Yes I'm here for this show, its actually pretty accurate to real life of black churches. Oprah has really come a long way in the past four years that she has the OWN Network. Went from having less views than the Discovery Channel to now having more average watchers than BET.

I love your review James. You hit this head on. I enjoyed your point of view on this. From the first scene I new Mac was a molestor/rapist, the son was a cheater and the son in law fighting with is sexuality. I can't wait to see how the plot unfolds. The raggedy jet story was hilarious. I guess Oprah said we talking about this. . . LOLLLL Greenleaf is reminiscent of a church family I know. The pastor, uncle, son and other uncle are Chester molestors and have gotten away with it for years. Have had children by little girls and all. The church still has a huge following and a school for second chance students. Can you imagine???? It sickens me. I can't bare to even drive past the church. I get physically ill. Be blessed. xoxo

The reason Pastor Greenleaf wanted his son to be head of the Deacon Board is to secure his position within the church. I know it's hard to believe, but, Inadvertently, the Deacon's run the church. They're in charge of giving the Pastor a raise, as well as getting together and terminating the Pastor if a scandal should arise.

you're right about old girl Jacob is sleeping with. Especially that scene where Jacob made it known he felt some kind of way about her saying she was just having fun. That was basically the setup that she has nothing to lose. Also, I feel like he doesn't really want that while life and responsibility. That scene where Karissa and him were talking and he made it clear he wanted her to listen to him, something is going to go down and he's going to be at Karissa's mercy...a la Fitz and Mellie...

Great review James!..You had my lol when you said Mae and Carresa had a Dynasty moment..Yes I also believe the may come from Mae and Mavis side-they're gonna end up goin at it..And I think Carresa gonna start using her wickedness and start blackmailing..lol..she knows too much for her on good-it might bite her in the ass tho. Them Deacons crazy...I love that this show is bringing real issues that goes on in alot of these churches, I luv this show!!
