I'm just going to accept it for what it is: A mission based throwaway game (just like, say, a typical story based adventure/RPG or indeed any 'means to an end' game), so if I get 30+ hours out of it then whoop, job done. Will I replay it once complete? No, not for cosmetics. Will I buy future DLC? Definitely not - it strikes me as being something that might outstay it's welcome if more of the same is added. What I would like to have seen though is the ability to rerun missions in more extreme conditions (snow etc etc) once they'd been 3 star completed (with maybe some worthwhile rewards thrown in for good measure), because if nothing else it would certainly add an extra layer of longevity and make the 'won and done' structure of the missions feel a lot less wasted than they currently seem to be.

For trucking games the benchmark is ETS2. Unfortunately we don't get anything as good as that game on XBox. Snowrunner is a good game but that's more about carrying heavy loads and logistics in hostile off road environments. I recently bought Star Trucker and that gives me a ETS2 vibe even though it's in space 😊

Part of me really wants to get it, because I wanna support devs putting out trucking sims on console. I want the devs of ATS to see that there IS a market to be had to have ATS on console. I feel like it would do well. I love a good trucking sim. With that said, idk. I wanna see what kind of post launch support the game gets. Hopefully someone or the devs do a give away on it. Other than that, I think I'm gonna wait on a good sale.

This is where unreal engine and unity fall flat on their faces when it comes to games like this , as we see it across the board . The more AI there is , the more problems you see with performance . You don't see it on ETS or ATS as it's a purpose built engine . I just think this something we will continue to see across the board on console unfortunately.

I went against my instinct and purchased it. I really have mixed feelings. The problem is no matter how careful you are, the perfect score will be very difficult to get as once again the AI blocks roads and so you are forced to error because of them. Steering is a little strange, and could be smoother, but certainly better than OTR. Thanks for showing this one Lee. I don't think I will play it much, but, we'll see.

Hey sorry for asking so many questions, as mentioned earlier, I’m planning on buying Alaskan road truckers, logistics simulater, American dream, and heavy cargo, I have a wheel at home but currently live at school so I only have my controller for the next month or two, so out of those games is there on that plays best on controller in you’re opinion or is there one title I should prioritize first? I would go for Alaskan , you'll get more enjoyment out of that title than the others , but be aware there are issues and bugs with Alaskan still !

It's tricky to say what it's better or worse than because everything we've had in the past has been or has had issues As I said in my review and live streams , it's a solid little trucking game , but it's that mission structure that will hold it back for me , the longevity is questionable

Game looks promising in terms of gameplay but the lack of career mode is a bummer. Once again, trucks seem to accelerate and brake far far too quickly,but overall its light years ahead of the likes of alaskan truck

The sound is supposed to be muffled inside the truck. I drive a yard dog it's really loud but muffled inside the truck with the back door closed.

It's a killer isnt it mate , use the suspension , lower it and higher it depending on the gradient , took me ages to figure it out

Not even talking about their other games they abandon. Like autobahn police sim 3 (same for 2 and 1) These guys have a terrible history for abandoning their games and not fixing major game breaking bugs. On the road, AI is frustrating they even fall out of the sky, zero optimisation and it crashes alot. Surprised they didnt just make a sequel like they did autobahn.

I only recommend this if you have a console. Not PC. Because console barely has any driving sims Truck and Logistics is another story too. Nothings realistic, its all arcade like. Why are their games called simulators

For me you are probably best waiting for a sale , after my review of the game a few issues did arise that need tending to with updates , so by the time those updates have been applied a good sale should come along !

I have a funny feeling looking at some of your previous comments you are not a fan of previous aerosoft products ? For me aerosoft have improved massively over the last 18 months , they restructured and their games have slowly been improving . But it seems you have been burnt in the past and not willing to forgive and forget , have you given this game a chance at all ? Have you played it or making all of your assumptions from gameplay you have seen on KZbin ?

I'll be openly honest with you pal , non of them have great wheel support , they all have " support " but non have force feedback at all ! So it's down to your personal preference what you want out of your trucking games . I will say though that snowrunner is the only trucking game on console to have "FULL" wheel support with force feedback ! But some say that's not really a trucking sim?? All these trucking games are on my channel so take a look and see which best fits your needs and wants

I had reservations about this game but I love the idea behind the game and like that is mission driven. I agree the graphics are great and that is about it. One thing I don't like is not being able to see line markings through the nearside mirror. I find the controller steering is horrible, it is so difficult to straighten the wheels after turning a corner. Steering wheel support is awful, steering is much better but you have to juggle the wheel and controller. Controls in the map is terrible and takes an age to work out. The sounds of the van is horrible and why does it rev and change gear weirdly, trucks are a little better but still not good enough. Would I buy it if I knew of the problems, no.

I think the steering is an individual thing , I prefer it to OTR for instance , but I've seen others say the opposite? It's a step in the right direction for trucking games on console anyway

I've not played OTR so can't comment but I much prefer the steering in Trucks and Logistics, although in Truck and Logistics I dislike the brakes and how you can't come to a rolling stop, you only have to touch the brake to come to a dead stop, very little progression, but that is like most games not fully utilising an analogue control. The button configuration is terrible, it is a pity there isn't a standard set-out for all games. I have tried to reconfigure the buttons but the menu you have to use is all over the place. Reminds me of Snowrunner when that first came out, I wanted to like the game but there were so many things I didn't like and steering was one of them, look how far that has come, it is a great game now and I have all the season passes. Although the initial content in Heavy Cargo is a little limited initially, I think there is room to expand, but I do hope they sort out the other stuff first, this game has the foundation to be great,

The graphics are worthless on the ps5. and the deadzone settings in the game with my trustmaster t150 are also not as it should be for this game. I hope they will adjust this with an update. constant slack in the steering wheel. No, for now I don't think it's a fun game and I feel like I threw my money away, unfortunately
