I had one of these, got it back in 2020 or so. Back then it used Micro-USB and the connector wore out. I did love it while I had it.

Amazing review. How is it compared to mechen m30, sound quality wise?

apparently sound quality is about the same (both are using TI DACs) but mechen m30 doesn't have Bluetooth...he also mentioned the scroll wheel controls are maybe better placed on this one (and using USB C instead of microUSB) so this one seems a little nicer overall idk

​​@@phonetech1640 m30, h2, f20 surfans. They're all the same, I would just go for the H2 though. It was rereleased with USB-C opposed to the others, comes out of the box with the best firmware. (Heard the m30 has some issues, like a year back) Only con is really the bluetooth, the range is kinda bad & has some playback issues... but most people use wired headphones with these anyway so... Yeah. Also bluetooth just drains the battery more anyway. TL;DR, its ultimately just goes down to preference. Only deal breaker is the charge ports, you can rockbox all of them.

Only better since it has native FLAC support so you dont have to install rockbox and mod it out.

I got it have Shure aonic 40 headphones flac hires music files and it sounds awesome very good range and I can't even turn it to the loudest volume as it's too much for my ears so amplification is great can't imagine something that sounds much better

The device is far too quiet when connected to Bluetooth and a Bose box. Is there a chance it can play louder? As it is, it is definitely too quiet and unusable. thanks
