I had a super bad fever (103) and this thing never read above 98 degrees. I felt awful, but didn't go to urgent care because I figured it was general fatigue and chills. I had a MRSA infection and was approaching 104 degrees. Would not recommend this at all, it could literally kill you. Check out the last 50 amazon reviews, they are almost all 1* with accuracy problems, and the others just praise how easy it is to use. It's ease of use means nothing it it doesn't actually work.

Wow, mine works fine and definitely detects fevers. All no touch thermometers are just not as accurate as more traditional thermometers. It should have detected a higher skin temperature no matter what, so maybe yours is defective is what I'm thinking. I still have some traditional thermometers around to get a second opinion if I need to and usually it's within 1 or 2 degrees it less.

100% Agree. I have one and it is utterly useless. I scanned myself three times in a row and got three different readings. I got suspicious and compared its results to an in ear thermometer I have and a traditional one. It was never right. The results can be up to 2 degrees out. Awful waste of money.

Same for me. All other thermometers show 100, this shows 97.7

My mom uses this everyday to check everyone's temperatures quickly. Good thing it takes like a second to give her a reading.

I purchased this from Amazon and it has never worked. It typically is 96.6 and never above that.

how to change batteries?
@PaulsToolReview2 ай бұрын
On the back side in the lower third is the sliding battery door (the side where your fingers go vs. the front side where your thumb goes when taking a temperature and the temperature display is). There's a small little protrusion to help catch your fingernail to assist is sliding the battery cover off. It just slides back then off. Replace the batteries with 2 AAAs. Hope that helps.

Seems the unit I bought several years ago isn't reliable anymore. Everyone has the same temp. Even my dog.

How do I link it to my iPhone?
@PaulsToolReview2 жыл бұрын
It doesn't link to your phone. Just reads the temperature on its own display

This thermometer doesn’t work and says it expires in a year? We paid $70 for it during Ovid big rip off. My temp is 100.7 right now, and it shows 97.0. My friends husband was seriously ill and his temp was 102.4. Their thermometer showed 97.1. Don’t buy!

Sorry to hear that. Mine is still working years later. I also used other touchless brands and it is just as reliable / accurate or unreliable / inaccurate. Maybe you got a bad one? Touchless thermometers are very finicky with compared with more traditional thermometers. Too close or too far from the skin will skew the results or not work at all. It takes practice consistently get about an inch away and an accurate reading the first time.
