I had heard from people who went there that this zoo was MOT worth the very high cost of admission, especially you were a family and particularly if you wanted to do any of the optional, added-cost activities that added so much to your visit. This video confirms that report, and I would have to consider it too expensive for my budget.

@@sherrywright7699 precisely why I did this video and thanks for sharing that my video confirmed it for you. ❤️ While I do think it's expensive (especially for a family), if you were wanting to see something particular, I'm sure there are other options😀

Amazing timing for your video as I'm visiting Brisbane in Jan and was just today looking up the zoo. Thanks!

Fantasic presentation Chris, very informative. I've never been but it was great to get an overview of what a visit would be like. Like you, and probably many others, i prefer to see animals living their lives in the wild. Its a massive commercial operation isn't it? Amazing to see the Tiger Snake shedding its skin, that's something very few people would ever witness. #AustraliaZoo should attach this video link to their website. Wonderful work, keep these awesome vids coming xx

Thanks for the feedback Phil. Yes, it is a massive operation and certainly a lot bigger than my first visit in the early 2000's..LOL There was a small child watching with us and I was trying to tell he it's rare to see a snake shed it's skin in person - Not sure he understood that! HAHA

How common is it to see the Irwin Family doing any of the presentations/shows?
@AquariusTraveller11 күн бұрын
More common on School Holidays! But, there is no announcement beforehand and will be random.

At $10 per hour, it isn't really expensive. Last time I went to Australia Zoo, Steve Irwin presented the crocodile show.
@AquariusTraveller4 ай бұрын
@@adventurewithbernie when you look at it that way... your probably right. 😀 Your very lucky and I would have liked to see Steve presenting in the early days. I know my sister did too

No. One super over crowded, overpriced eatery, and the Crocoseum with no roof and metal benches was hellishly hot even in Winter. I’d hate to think how oppressive it would be in summer.
@AquariusTraveller2 ай бұрын
@@coasterblocks3420 never thought how uncomfortable it would be in the summer, although that side was fine on the day I went. I just thought the croc show as a whole was extremely limiting 👍

@@kelleeking5340 I was pleasantly surprised to visit the HQ zoo and your right...I did see animals there that weren't at Australia Zoo. 👍👍

@AquariusTraveller my favourite was the wild dogs and the way the serval moves from cage to cage and the wolf breed they have there most of the aminals came from alarm park zoo to go there.
