I loved Bieler Bros. Records. Bought a bunch of cds back in the day that you put out. Wish a lot of those bands got big but the music business is just too tough as we all know. Nice to see Karnivool still going strong.

This album gets better and better with every listen! Hightlights for me are: Sweet Eliza, Mexico, Birds of Prey and Bear Sedatives. Not bad for a hand model!

This entire album is phenomenal! From start to finish it's the best album since ACDC back in Black in that respect hands down. Musically I think it's a masterpiece...I wish I had wrote it. Mexico is just ..heaven ...literally heaven man .

Saigon Kick was so underrated. Another one of those bands that came at wrong time ( grunge era). Just as the Galactic Cowboys, they combined the Beatles harmonies with raunchy heavy metal riffs!

Matt Kramer was the singer in Saigon kick but Jason was guitarist and sang on the 3rd album Water 🤘

Matt Kramer was the singer on the first 2 albums while Jason did 2nd vocals. Jason was singer on 3 albums after Matt left plus Jason played guitar on all albums.

I remember hearing Songs For The Apocalypse a while back - will have to listen to that one again. From memory I didn't particularly like the drums (that metal-style drumming & bright/aggressive sound) on many tracks but some of the songs were good - good vocals...? Other than those drums almost in the 'melodic hard rock' camp. Seems like the less-heavy tracks appealed to me more ("Annalise", "Apology", "Very Fine People"). I could be wrong w/o relistening though...I've only heard some of the newest album on Bandcamp (where only 6 of the tracks are playable) - reminds me of SFTA. Again not crazy about the drum sound/style. "Flying Monkeys" is Zappa-like mayhem, like "Bear Sedatives" a lot as well as "Human Head" - again the less-heavy stuff. Be interesting to hear Pete's take... Bieler's got an older album called Houston We Have A Problem from '98 that's not as heavy. In fact pretty poppy (with even some 'electronic' stuff mixed in-not my thing). Probably too laid back for real SK fans but I liked "Who Do You Love", "John And Paul", "Arriane", "Before The Fall", "Divine". Don't know much about Saigon Kick (I think I may have their late 90's Best Of on cd) - may have to check 'em out...

@@waverlyking6045 Don't know about Elon (what does his album sound like?) but for me Bieler's vocals are pretty good. Not great - of course that's opinion, you clearly like him more than I do (I'm also pretty picky about vocals). I don't like what he does vocally on some tracks like "Beyond Hope", "Sic Riff " & "Jupiter"...Also I'm basing this strictly on his solo albums, as I said not really familiar with his work in Saigon Kick. I can definitely do without the EDM stuff on Houston We Have A Problem. Seems like a pretty 'eclectic' guy musically speaking - that won't appeal to everyone - but sure makes for some interesting listening

I've been listening to a six-song E.P. called "Heathens" on KZbin and I really dig what I've heard. I love the big concept albums, so I'm looking forward to hearing the full album.

Weird timing - a month or so ago I re-purchased the first four Saigon Kick albums. I've been enjoying those, so I may as well check this out. Andee Blacksugar is a great guitarist. I think he's touring with Blondie right now, but he's also played a lot with KMFDM, and has showed up on The Contrarians KZbin page a bunch in the past.
