Hey everyone. I'm slowly catching up to the changes KZbin has made regarding "safe for kids" videos. It looks like every time I upload a video it defaults to "safe for kids" which turns off comments, etc. This was not my intent so I've changed that. I hope I remember better in the future! Comment away!

Hehe, I always make that same mistake. Should be the other mode by default.

Hi, On the Sunda 2 Kickstarter page, the question was raised in regard of the coverage at the attach-points from the hammock to the Python straps. (Which you pointed out in your video) Kammok responded with: "We have a small carabiner that you will connect around the suspension to prevent the tent body from pulling out from underneath the rainfly. The fly will and does cover the entire base of the hammock. In this video, the trees used for setup were also too close together and prohibited the rain fly from being staked out properly." So thank you too :)

Yes, Kammok also reached out to me with a similar statement. I can't comment on the adjustment they've made, but I hope it helps. The tent floor is only 100 x 50, so a little over 8 x 4 ft -- that's a small hammock. But, as I said in my video, I had a very comfortable sleep. That may be because of my height (5'10") and that I enjoy smaller hammocks like the GT UL, Hennessy, and others when they are pitched correctly. I can certainly do more testing, but my initial reaction was that with the Sunda's center pole, the ridgeline of the fly doesn't slacken in hammock mode, so I should be getting full coverage, unless the pole is bending too much? Remember that as a hammock, the curve "shortens' the length of the hammock, so even a short hang shouldn't matter for the fly coverage. It's a design challenge for sure, and I think Kammok has done some amazing things to engineer a tent / hammock hybrid. My current opinion is that this is a fantastic -- voluminous -- tent. The hammock mode makes a lot of compromises. Tent first; hammock for fun.

Hey buddy i just bought this Sunda 2.0 tent/hammock last year Aka 2023 at my birthday around 22 of September, sadly did i not get all parts i was missing the middel Red/smal V shaped tent pole, so i had to wait well atleast 14 days more since i Live in Denmark! and then they forgot to give me the full pole so an othere 14 days, so around 1 mounth later i had a complete sunda! and well since then the weather here has been rainy and well quite cold so i havent had the change to try it or test it. Was wondering did u solve the guy-out issue on yours after the review? also have you tried it ever since? like how is it with the rain and condensation in thent/hammock mode since its a 1 way tarp and not a dobble? if you have any tips or tricks pls let me know! so i would be able to have the best experiance in my sunda! Greatings from Denmark FWatze

Seems to me that the hammock attachment was pulled under the rainfall instead of thru the window. Going thru the window would allow you to zip up the window during rain to help prevent rain blowing in thru the ends

Hey there , there is a error building up the Sunda 2 in Hammok mode the strings need to pass true the side windows that's why they are there and you will have a full covered hammok under the Sunda 2 tarp. So in the Kammok Sunda 2 official presentation they do the same error. Just to inform you this and it will be more stable and covered.

Just so everyone knows he does not have the tent completely set up properly, and a lot of the issues that he points out are resolved when properly set up. Still a very good insight on the tent.

You only need to do it right " once " with the Hennessy so that was totally wrong ! When thats done setup in less than a minute...every time ...without sagging. Kammock seems to take several minutes every time with those tent poles 😂
